There’s also the view. The rush at liftoff. Plus the notoriety. Played well, many could re-coop a lot of that $250k. Something like 600 people in history have left the planet that over 100 billion have lived on. Captain Kirk might have been gifted his ride, but he’s back in the spot light and should get millions more in endorsements had he just faded away in his 90s.
He may make more money in endorsements but I wouldn’t want to be him. He was the only one that didn’t have anyone there (from what I saw) to share the experience with him. Made me feel sad for him.

Okay, let's see which one of you all are the true nerds...

I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't get a passing grade and had to jump through serious hoops to get everything off the ground. The Angry Astronaut did a YT rant about the items they were going to need to have accomplished before full flight ops could take place. I'll see if I can find his rant and post it.

I wish they wouldn't call the vehicles we use today starships. Voyager 1 has covered about 13.2 billion miles and is the farthest a man made vehicle has traveled from Earth. Since it is over 25 trillion miles to the nearest star it's going to be a while until we launch a real starship.

That is what the name of the new SpaceX rocket is being called that is in development above. It's expected to be able to carry 50-100 people to the Moon or Mars in its passenger variant.

Weird thing tonight...if I type my address in for Starlink it changed from Mid to late 2021 to late 2022...on my account page it still says 2021 20211026_215219.jpg
