Interesting on the Lapadre live stream notes they say that SN5 was pressurized during the storm.

I saw that, makes sense as that should strengthen the stack. Hopefully none of those devices attached to SN5 shook loose during the storm and they can proceed with the static fire on Monday.

This is a video, actually 2nd video add on to the main Smarter Every Day video where Destin goes to ULA and tours the rocket factory with the CEO who really explains how they are built...which is just amazing.

One point that is made at the end of this 2nd video is illustrated well here. All we ever seem to hear about or see is Space X and Musk launching cool stuff. As Torry points out though, space X is focused on only 1 side of the space market...the commercial side. Also the low orbit stuff more often than not. These guys are building all the stuff for national security purposes...and will be behind much of what our Space Force is doing. They put the rover on Mars. As they point out in the 1st video , this is their 20th time sending something to Mars.

Anyway, S.E.D. videos are great, I have been subscribed for a very long time and even watch them with my kids. These 2 videos are no exception..thought yall might like them. I linked the 2nd video because it is shorter but hope yall enjoy

Tory Bruno is pretty cool himself; has a good sense of humor and shows up on Twitter and Reddit a lot. I’m definitely in the SpaceX camp but he seems to be doing a damn good job with ULA. I’m glad we have more and more options when it comes to space. The competition is a good thing.

NASA has announced the 2nd "official" crew that will fly on SpaceX Crew Dragon. SpaceX Crew-2 currently scheduled to launch to ISS in February for a six month stint aboard the Station.

It includes Astronaut Megan McArthur wife of Astronaut Bob Behnken who is currently preparing to return to earth as part of the first crewed Crew Dragon Demo 2 flight.

That was the old Boeing plant that I was involved in the start up when we supplied the facility with equipment around 2000. It was to be the worlds biggest building during the initial design, but they scaled it back by about 1/3rd iirc. The place is a cool 70F and on a hot summer day they would open the high doors and you would be wow, there goes a lot of cool air.
