I’ve gotta say, as much as I’ve been hooked on humans exploring space, I’d be getting cold feet for traveling on SpaceX for now. I’m glad they have these automatic aborts, but they sure seem to happen a lot.
Update for 8:40 p.m. EST on March 9: SpaceX is now targeting March 10 at 3:13 a.m. EST for this Starlink launch, citing a desire to perform more prelaunch checks.
Next launch is over 5 days out. But the ISS will fly over Knoxville the next 2 nights. Wednesday (9:23pm) might be too cloudy. Thursday night is at 8:36pm.
Less than 30 minutes and the ISS will be passing from the SW to the NE. But with the steady rain I assume it will be too cloudy. It is very bright though.
I was alive for Mercury and wrote to NASA as a boy. They sent me a big color brochure about Gemini. I’ve witnessed the entire human mission to space, and I’m hopeful for SpaceX and what they may achieve.
