What can you say after your starting QB makes your program the laughing stock of college football?

I dunno. People love to pile on Tennessee, but Nico is making himself look much worse than he’s making the university look.

In fact, the only way he makes us a laughing stock is if we cave, give him 4 million a year, and he has another average season.

Probably a Bama fan, don't worry about it. I trust VolNation. We've been right about most things.

Shiano, Cornbread and many many other things.
Dooley, Butch, JG, Hamilton, Currie (did get us Vitello, so not all bad). DougAtkins91 Niting Posts, the Easter bunny, Morgan Freeman, and Dolly Parton.

Where is Heupel today after practice? He should address the media or someone about Nico’s absence today. Would put some clarity to the situation one way or the other, and stop all the negativity IF there’s a legitimate reason. ????
He is doing the right thing. Speaking right now is lose-lose for him.

Sometimes you gotta cut a man loose. Toxic no win situation from here on out. My gut is he is already gone. Probably back to his neck of the woods.

Wouldn’t worry about missing time with the 1s and twos. Most of the offense is injured or recovering from surgery. Sumer is when the receiver / QBs seem to make the most improvement in timing. I’ve heard that McIntyre has better leadership skills, and has tried to recruit players better than Nico ever has. If the rumor is true, I doubt Nico is making any friends and the team will rally around whoever is moved to #1 QB. I personally would like Nico to move on and use the additional money saved to improve LBer or linemen.

If Nico shows up and Heup says he's the guy, then he's the guy. However if Nico does leave over money and you're a Power 5 program or coach are you going to trust a guy that didn't keep his original contract and tried to hold up his team and staff for money at the last minute? He didn't keep his contract with UT but he's going to be honorable and keep his contract with Podunk U? He'll be damaged goods wherever he goes, nut no douibt somebody will take him.

He would fit in perfectly at Colorado.

If Heupel does something stupid like that after all that has went down, he won't make it through the season. The fans are rightfully angry and Heupel better be smart enough to read the room.

There's absolutely no reason to say anything until after the scrimmage tomorrow. Then he needs to keep it generic and quick.

Nothing good will.come for him saying much about this situation.
