Forget I mentioned it, guys. I'm just glad y'all post!! If I can't read something, I'll ask for help.

But I won't promise not to make fun of spelling mistakes.

I'm not a perfect speller all the time either, though very well educated. Just a level headed, UT fanatic. I guess I sparked this in another thread where I went off a little on this topic. It was mainly aimed at what appeared to be some ignorant bashing going on, and it just looked like third graders trying to sound big time with their opinions that obviously are new post padders trying to elevate their perceived standing in this crowd. One such poster appears to have only joined less than a week and has already padded so much, they're up to serious member. They didn't seem to have respect for some regular long timers that are heavily involved in making this forum enjoyable. It's obvious who you guys are if you hang out a while. (The good ones). Heck I've even grown to appreciate sir Don's view points since joining. It just annoys me when people try to sound knowledgeable and intelligent, but cannot express it even in remedial circles.

Are you sure that this was on another board GVF? It sounds very familiar!

Hey! Maybe I should have tried preaching or a lawyer. I think we all know who the new padder is. Padding with substance...I don't think so. There's only one Freak, one LIO, one allvol, one Milo, one Sarge, one JR, and a few others I can't recall off the top of my head. I think he got busted on another thread last night. It's fun though. I got hooked and come on hear several times a day just to browse. Hope I never get busted. We have keyboard click tickers in the corporate spy department.

yes, the secrets of substantial post padding are mysterious and elusive to most mortal men, only years of training and discipline will bring the enlightenment of the ninja!

Well, I guess being a college professor has an effect on my answer to this one, but I wonder about people from other boards and what they think of our board if they see too much incorrect grammar and spelling.

Those of you who check out these other boards around the country can tell us if they have the same type of posts or not.

The meaning is in the message but I still think it is preferable to try and do the best job you can when you post.

That said, Go Vols, and POST! POST! POST!

Careful, they'll crucify you for saying something like that. I posted the exact same thing last week and got accused of being shallow. :dunno:
