I'm not sure you're really grasping the part that's ridiculous in this thread
Venting how terrible their concessions is and how poorly managed. Apparently you probably don't have kids if so I feel sorry for them living with a D bag like you.

You're the one who made your wife and 5yo wait half an hour because you couldn't make it home without an extra liter of cola and I'm the d bag?

It seems you don't understand why the rule is in place and that it actually helps you. Of course all you see is some kid doing exactly what they are trained to do and wonder why you aren't getting extra special service. Seems they are quite well run if their employees know, understand and enforce park guidelines. Employees making up rules as they go would be a sign of bad management.

You should be thanking them for preserving the special privilege of your gold pass

Its Dollywood/Splash Country, not Atlantis. You're mad cause you didnt get white glove treatment from a kid on his first job making minimum wage having to tell someone for the 5,000 time that day that the name on the card must match the gold card. You dont remember your first job?

C'mon, dude. You're better than that.

I have to agree with what several here have said. You're upset over a kid following the rules. You may think it's silly and I'm not disagreeing with that, but for example my first job was in a grocery store, I always thought the having to have a store card thing was silly, so when someone offered to let a customer without one use theirs I always let them. Until I did it one time with a secret shopper, I got an official written warning. Idk if splash clountry has a secret shopper type deal but I wouldn't be surprised at all of they do and check for things like using a card with a different name.

My favorite thing is so called privileged people harassing others in the service industry, especially young people trying to make a few extra bucks. They're only following the rules, when they don't bend over backwards.

Water pole dancing.

Seriously though, some people are giving this guy some major hate.

You gave major hate to a teenager for following company rules. You don't have any legs to stand on here really.

I never gave major hate. I was simply saying the teenager needs to develop some trouble shooting thoughts of their own. If you wait in line a half hour and fully intend on paying for said drink you earned some complaining rights, plain and simple.

When my kids were young we would eat breakfast on the way in. Spend 4-6 hours in the park, maybe have an ice cream bar or a drink. When you leave there's probably a couple hundred restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Don't expect real customer service inside an amusement park.

Uh, Disney

No you don't. If you don't follow the park's guidelines you don't deserve squat. If you wait in line for a refill on coke for 30 minutes, you need your head examined. The kid on the other hand has developed the greatest habit he'll get: following direct orders, the SOP, and company guidelines. Behind closed doors at staff meetings they can begin to approach changing the guidelines. However, if it's not your CC, you don't get to use it. Talk about common sense. If you don't get that, join 30 minutes for a coke guy getting your head examined.

1. Leave park
2. Stop at the convenience store
3 Buy a Coke.

I just saved you 27 minutes and only cost you $1 extra.

There's more than one Coke refill station at Splash Country.

Felt like this was worth pointing out.

Were you that teenager at some point in time? Is that why you're so passionate in trying to defend them? I'd also argue that teen sucks at there job anyway if they've got a 30 minute line waiting at their stand. They need to learn how to tell people no a lot faster.

Common sense, logic and reality aren't your forte, you've proven that in numerous threads over the years, but it's still funny that you call out a kid and use bad grammar doing so.

The truth of the matter is I know how business works. Sorry that you don't.

Why do I get the feeling you've berated some kid at Food City over an expired coupon...

OP, I doubt the numerous gas stations on the way out of Dollywood/Pigeon Forge would have made you wait in line for 30 minutes or told you no to buying a Coke. You could have left Dollywood, gotten a Coke at one of those stations, and been to the interstate in 30 minutes, if that is where you were going.

You could argue that, but it would make absolutely zero sense.

You really think there was a 30 min line at the Coke station?

I don't use coupons but I wouldn't expect to get away with using one if it was expired.

Of course not.

I work at Dollywood and I had someone ask to talk to my manager because I wouldn't let there kid that's 2 inches to short ride my ride . I also got in trouble because I wouldn't let a fat woman ride the ride that there was no way of her fitting on.

Nice park but very disappointed. Yes water was ice cold as normal at this time of season and cluster F of people but food stations very slow and better not have a spouses credit card or Dollywood gold pass. My 5 year old daughter wanted lunch and my wife got the bland lunch only to have to be questioned about my gold pass. As we was leaving I wanted to buy a refill of coke in season pass cup only to wait 30 minutes for it and teenie bopper saying I can't use my wife's debit card while using my gold pass for a $1 refill. I told her to dump it that I was done with this place. Love hospitality of Dollywood and Dollywood Dreammore but wish I would never got gold pass. Nice park if hit middle of week in summer with plenty food in your car outside but food vendors are nothing but rude ass high schoolers. If I ever go back which is very unlikely I will never drop a $ on their concessions or extras besides a small ass locker.

U mad over that but even EMPLOYEES can't use another persons card in our lunch area . it's a water park most water park food sucks .
