Green had a lot of good stuff to say about the Vols including this:

Tennessee fits me very well and I could see myself there. They need a back and I could go there

Prater set up an interview for tomorrow night.

Green should go up tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks Matt, you are doing a great job here. Did you get to speak to Meline about UT and Oregon?

No I was unable to speak with him.

I did speak with Ivan McCartney, another 4* Rivals rated WR. He stated he has an offer from the Vols but has never spoken to the staff, so I just went on to other topics I was calling him about for other schools.

Thanks for the kudos guys. Starting to slowly pick up on the UT recruiting stuff.

You're the man Matt. Maybe you can get more out of Prater. I wouldn't be surprised if you're told mostly what he has said before. He likes USC, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Illinois. USC is probably his favorite. We shall see but either way, awesome.

We don't "need" a back, but that shouldn't stop us from trying to get the best one we can get.

You can never tell how these RBs will turn out. McCluster imo is the best RB in the SEC now, and his rating sucked...

You still need quality depth. RB is one of the most injury-prone positions because of all the hits they take in a game.

+1k

after this year, theres Oku, Brown, Poole, and Williams. we need another back. just look at the Broncos or Patriots last year. by mid to late season, both teams were on their 3rd, 4th, and 5th string RBs.

we need more. if they can compete and play, awesome (pssh, if someone can out perform BB than wow). if they cant, well we have quality depth.

I agree, but he isn't gonna beat out Oku or Brown.

Something I found interesting was the fact that he mentioned something along the lines of being willing to work his way from 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart and make the coaches see he is worthy of the top spot or he can wait a year or two.

With our RB depth, it would be nice to start a trend of redshirting some RBs to get them more ready for when they are really needed...

McCluster isn't even a RB. He's basically Harvin reincarnated.

Charles Scott is pretty far and away the best though. Bryce Brown may be in the running by the end of the year.

haha, everyone stole what I was gonna say....

We need a back?? Uhhh well if he says so!! haha, I'd rather have Seastrunk since we "need" a back so bad.... who's that Bryce guy we got last year anyway?? isn't there an Uko or Oku too? (tongue in cheek)

I knew I would get both of those responses from somebody. I don't like Scott and I like McCluster haha. I dunno why. Maybe cuz he's got a cool name...
