Sports Card Collectors!

Just looked it up those boxes (2019 Topps Luminaries) are going for $500+ on eBay.

Good luck to those with money to burn.
No way I’m paying $500 for this but I love this card

How much did he pay for the spot if you don't mind me asking?
$45 this week. There was a box of Topps museum collection and Topps pristine, so this one was a little more expensive.
He made his money back plus a little on this one.
He did real well with last weeks Corbin Carroll auto. I think last weeks was $30 or $35?

What store does he do the breaks with? I've watched underdog collectibles but their prices on breaks are just a little too high for me

The shop always tries to do some nice stuff like museum collection and pristine and then he’ll throw in a few boxes of heritage or archives and things like that for volume.
Like I said, he’s the best guy in the business and has been extremely good to my son.
One particular week, my boy bought into a break and got like 3 base cards and that was it.
When we went to pick them up, the owner slid in a very nice, numbered mike trout card from his personal collection. It is like an $80 card!
He said he felt bad even though I told him we understand, that’s part of the gamble.
He takes good care of the kids!

What is a break?
It's basically gambling. (I bought in to some basketball breaks back in the spring. (Grizzlies) I probably lost money especially with the Ja Morant drama since then.)

You buy in to a break (unboxing/opening) sometimes it's just a hobby or retail box(s) sometimes it might even be a whole case of boxes.

Sometimes you buy in for a player but most times it's a team. Occasionally it's random you buy in and you get told what team your getting.

Say I buy in to a break of baseball for the Braves. That means I would get any Braves player pulled from the packs in the break (common cards, relic, autos or even 1 of 1s).

Well...stopped by Target to buy some hamburger and hotdog buns...decided to pick up a Chronicles football blaster box...got a Panini Rewards insert for 4200 points....ordered some Jawuan James(3) , Admiral Schofield, Darrell Taylor, and Josh Richardson autographed cards. Still have 3200 points left over.
