Sports experiences before you die

Also, if I die without seeing an armwrestling championship, hot dog eating competition, or about 40 other things on that list I will not regret it in the slightest.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Permian Panthers play in Odessa. The downside is that I would have to go to Odessa.

I was kinda surprised to have 8...but there are SOO many more I want to do.

23. Football game at Notre Dame
27. Tailgating in the SEC
46. Daytona 500
49. Lady Vols game
62. Midnight Madness
88. Monday Night Football
91. Little League Game
97. NCAA women's volleyball championships

I have also seen a Canadian Junior Hockey game (#80)...but they were playing at a scout camp in the US, so I didn't count it. I have also done two of the "Ten Events to Avoid":
2. NFL Exhibition Games
7. WWE Event

I've done seven.....

22. Wrigley from the Bleachers. AWESOME, even for a non-Cub fan. Play cups, find "woo-woo", and chant "LEFT FIELD SUCKS!!!".

27. SEC tailgating. 'nuff said.

35. Opening day. OK, so it was in Detroit. it still counts.

37. Midnight Madness. don't remember a Whole lot about this...but I think it was the year after UTC made the sweet 16.

39. Field of Dreams. Seen it, Played on it, came up JUST short of hitting one into the corn.

91. Little League. I go every year to see at least one game.

100. Globetrotters. saw them when I was 12--still have the signed miniball 16 years later.

The only one that I'm obsessed about doing before I die is the Kentucky Derby. that, and making sure that my daughter sees Neyland.

whether you are a fan or not, going to a Wrestlemania is an Awesome experience.

and while Texas HS football is indeed a different animal, you guys that get to go to a maryville/alcoa game or a riverdale/oakland game are in just as good an atmosphere.

I've got 11 of them . . . and I disagree about the Olympics. I was in Atlanta in '96 and it just doesn't get much better than watching the flag get raised at the medal ceremony and the pure emotion when the Star Spangled Banner starts playing. Seeing an American gold medal ceremony is easily the most emotional moment I've ever witnessed live . . . and I was in the stadium the night the Braves won the World Series.

agree 100%......
