I have a friend in Toronto who seems to be 100% sure that there will be a second team in Toronto within a few years. He said that the support for hockey in Toronto deserves a second team. I don't know anything about hockey, though. He seems to think that if NY can support two teams, then Toronto can.

Most of the talk is of a team south of Toronto, halfway between Detroit and Buffalo.

Weekend turnout is good, it's the mid week games that get a little light sometimes. The NHL actually wants it to work here. There are a lot of Canadian and US transplants from up north living in Nashville and the surrounding cities.

Nashville's problem isn't fan attendance at the game, for the most part anyway. their problem is they can't get the large scale backing from corporations.

i'm not a Nashville fan by any stretch, but they do have a good arena for hockey and good fan support. i was impressed with the playoff game i attended against the Red Wings last year.

Don't they have to stay until at least part of the Forum is paid off? Something like 2012 or something.

Maybe they will leave and memphis will go back to the Pyramid.

Well then they couldn't sell beer at the games...ah im torn.

The pyramid will be a huge Bass Pro before then so no worries.
