Just curious, but what kind of side jobs are you referring to?

You could pick up a waiting tables job and make 20k in three months while school is out. You could get a part or full time job at any number of stores and attractions where the peak season pays well for short periods of work.

Cleaning condos.
Beach stores pay well.
Bussers get paid a lot too.

From march till august is peak season for me. I racked up 9,000 between those months on one job alone. This year I'm doing a paper route early in the morning before work. I'm getting 350 a week for it. If you put forth a lil bit of effort you can have a extremely good life here.

It snowed today. I spent my planning period at work looking at condos n houses @ okaloosa lol

If you're single, Studio apartments/Condos are really nice here. Okaloosa & Santa Rosa counties are both excellent. All the High schools are great. Plus, When Summer break starts you won't have to travel to the beach. It'll be at your back door.

:)

Teachers make a lot here too. Teachers from 7-12 get 1,000 bonus if their class passes the Fcat. (Floridas version of the Tcap).

Here's a picture I took of the Pier on the island

Lol I'm not liking u very much. I'm certified Pre-school through 5th grade.

I know two places off the top of my head that's hiring for Pre-k through 4th grade.

If you seriously start to move I'll give you some good advice on the best areas to live in.

Ha, I'm already good. It's weird how like home it felt. I'd say I'm a few years out from a major move tho. I'm living on a prayer right now

It has that affect, You being a tourist and already feel that way is a good thing. There is a lot of local stuff that happens that toursist have no idea about. One being 'Mullet Fest'. You really haven't seen nothing until you live here & I understand that. I'll tell you 2000 will get you into most places here that's including rent water & electricity.

True. But, Here they pay you more as the price of living goes up. * I made 9.25 starting out at walmart as a stocker* which I still barely got by own. If you have really good credit you can go through a reality company and you can get into a town home for around 800/month.

Edit** Living in destin is extremely expensive however the little towns on the outskirts of destin aren't that bad.
