Bout time. Garcia is better at being an alcoholic than a quarterback.

Good move Spurrier. Put your already shaky Soph QB in that last lead you to a 17-0 deficit against Nowhere St. Course, the other option isn't much better at this point.

Shaw took us right down the field on the first drive, and then fumbled on ECU's 17. Lattimore fumbled on the next drive, and then we fumbled the ensuing kick-off. At that point, it was 17-0. He didn't get much of a chance.

Darth, he's the pride of Hall County and I hope he does well (unless we're playing yall), but it seems like Spurrier is scolding his first born by throwing his younger kid into the fire.

Easiest game they've got for a month or so.

Shaw should have started at the beginning of the year and Garcia shouldn't have been able to play his 7th year, but ball coach didn't have the balls. Go back and look at Garcia threads. This day was unavoidable, but late.

I am glad he is giving Shaw a chance. If he is no worse than Garcia, I'd just assume let him take his lumps now. He may well be a bad quarterback, but I'd like to see him get a fair shot.

At this point he can't be much worse. Missing targets is one thing. Hitting the wrong ones is another. Garcia is doing both and way too much of the latter.

lol. and Imani, and Blake Sims. And TJ Jones. and Kendrick Lewis. And Imani's brother. Boy, Hall County football has come a LONG way since I was in HS. And it hasn't been that long

I got to play against Kendrick Lewis. It's cool seeing a guy in the NFL that you played against. I also remember when Flowery Branch wasn't much of anything. Now that's one of the best programs in the state.

It's mind-boggling. He wasn't a great QB last year, but he played so much better. I would give anything for Bray.

Did you? I was in HS at the time. Don't you mean River Rat? lol too soon? Still pissed about how Gainesville got him.

Yeah, I knew he was a Katrina evacuee. I never knew the particulars of how he wound up at Gainesville. Convenient for them. I was a sophomore when he was a senior.

Gleaned this little piece of information from CT. This morning on 107.5 The Game in Columbia, they were talking about Todd Ellis (SC radio play-by-play) asking CSS if Shaw had done something to fall out of favor with the coaches, since he hadn't been given a shot since ECU. CSS responds with, 'That's a question that I can't answer.'

A great time to be a Gamecock, indeed.
