Spurrier just won the SEC east

I think the avalanche is more likely to be burying Kentucky.

So far the Wildcats have beaten two decent teams who are both struggling this season, which might bode well for their game with us, but their next three games are against South Carolina, LSU and Florida. If they win one out of three I think it will be a successful October for them.

They beat Louisville (who was ranked 9th in the nation at the time) and an Arkansas team that arguably has the most dangerous player in the nation in Darren McFadden.

I can easily see them making short work of SC and narrowly beating the Gators.

L'ville was a fraud. Good win for the Cats, yes, but a fraud nationally.

and Ark is, well, a small pond with one VERY big fish in McFadden.

both wins though very good for KY. it puts them in the position they are in right now, and i won't be surprised to see them win in Columbia. but beating FL, TN, LSU, GA and SC......well, that's another thing. they'll wind up with at least 3 losses and a 9 win season and a very good bowl game. a great season for the wild cats by all rights.

look, I really really really dont like florida, but Ken -freakin- tucky aint gonna beat florida. Put your poker chips on SC if you want to. Just have a good cover story for why your needing a loan. SC wont go away easy.

SC has the easiest road to the SEC east title. Most likely they can lose to Florida and still win out, if LSU beats Florida which is likely. All they need to do is beat Kentucky and UT. Kentucky most likely will lose to Florida and LSU both. Steve Spurrier has to be smiling today.

Didn't someone already tell you if USC loses to UF they will have 2 losses just like UF and will lose the tiebreaker in the scenario of both of them having 2 losses?

you do realize SC already has one conference loss right? A loss to florida even with florida losing to LSU still gives Florida the tiebreaker

All good points. The tail end of KY's schedule is brutal, to say the least. They won't go unscathed. Perhaps I'm just playing devils advocate when I say this, but I'm convinced that this team is the real deal this year. They aren't done shocking us, I'm afraid.

No, my bad, I didn't realize they had been beaten already. Yeah that changes everything, they have to beat Florida. I would guess now a 3 way tie, with Florida getting the tie-breaker.

yeah, as of right now UK has it the easiest. Win out obviously and they're in, and if UF loses to LSU, they can even afford one loss.

Also, while i'm not predicting it to happen, I haven't seen anyone point out that right now Vandy still controls their own destiny, something UT doesn't have.
