Not to support the flag, but I'd say it was more likely the other way around. I think the Union had about 2x the casualties.

I am pretty positive that my great, great, great Grandfather survived the Civil War.

So, it is definitely not the other way around.

Being an Ohioan for most of my life, I don't see why people take pride in having the confederate flag. I remember gatlinburg being full of them.

Back on topic. Spurrier did exactly what he should have done, given his livelihood and the fact that he is absolutely right.

As for cops that would sport the Rebel flag, I just don't get it. How in the world are you even remotely objective in prosecuting your duties?

There probably are liberals that want to take down the flag for all the wrong reasons, but I think they pale in comparison to the people that fly the flag for all the wrong reasons.
