Couldn’t we have declined pass interference if he caught it??? I don’t think we would have to take the penalty.

Yes, but as others have stated - the ref apparently decided to save us the trouble of having to do that. He knew it was PI. That’s why he reached for the flag. But once he saw the catch - he decided it was as waste of time to throw it. Personally, I wish they’d do that every time.

That's a good shot, but it's what happened before this that was where the pass interference call should have been made. White was mugged while the ball was in the air and PI should have been called regardless of the outcome of the play. Obviously Heupel would have declined the penalty, but at least throw the flag.

I don’t think some realize how difficult of a catch that was against SC.

Probably one of the toughest catches I've ever witnessed. Squirrel is the man.
