That seemed the likely scenario in public, I just wondered if there was anything going on behind the scenes.

Read an interesting quote from some coach about the St. John's job saying that it's a pretty lousy gig due to local politics and under the table dealings. I can only imagine that DePaul is 2 times as bad.

They are only lousy gigs if you don't figure out a way to finesse the local politics. Do that and you got goldmines of talent in your backyard .

They put out feelers to Tim Floyd and I imagine Billy Clyde will get involved there if the Houston job doesn't work out. Tim Jankovich from Illinois State is a guy they would be wise to consider.
