Stadium DJ System

The dj makes a great atmosphere but sterling needs to not just scream into the mic. The volume on the entire sound system was to loud. It was also hard to understand Butch when he was on the mic.

Sterling was on the field and the sound check area along with the speakers was in the very top of the North end zone. Maybe the music sounded better in the upper area which is why the sound guy missed it but I dunno

Has got to go. Way too loud, annoying and not very good at pumping up the crowd. I was clapping and really appreciating when the band started playing after the dj quit. no offense to sterling but it is overkill imho.

Recruits help us win. They like the dj thing. I don't mind not understanding anything he said if it helps get us more kids like Hurd.

I can handle anything they want to play, but when the Pride cranks up Rocky Top, he needs to hit the stop button. There were several times yesterday where he kept playing until half way through. There were kids of all ages around me complaining about it being too loud...and they weren't all "old caucasians".

Remember too lots of base with a horrible sound system is like hearing nails on a chalk board

Neyland Stadium could benefit greatly from an upgraded sound system that could provide quality audio for both speech and music. They brought extra speakers in for the game and they were mounted in the upper deck of the north end zone. It seems that didn't help much. If this is something they want to continue this, then they need to visit one of the NFL stadiums who has a good reputation for quality sound. Finally, as several have mentioned, Sterling needed to quit screaming. The mic is designed to project his voice. I liked it overall, just needs some tweaking and a sound system upgrade.

In case you guys didnt notice there was a huge speaker setup in the upper level. It will not be that loud during games.

The reason I first fell in love with this sport is because of the pageantry and tradition. Wtf does tradition mean when this canned crap is pooping all over the band. This sport became meaningless like almost everything else in life.

If enough people hate it, it'll get changed back. They cant afford to lose anymore fans in seats, and if the future is like this I and many many others will want no part of it.

Two systems, The DJ set-up was just only for the O/W Game. Game Day is a much smaller set-up used for players in pre-game. At least I thought he tried to not play over band. Last year A. Foster asked band to not play!

Y'all do realize the DJ stopped his music (every time) as soon as he knew the band was playing, right? Or do you just want to feel pissed about it?

Old Caucasians are funny. Especially when they have no control over something and complain about. Kenny Rogers says shutup.

old Caucasians, whose money helps to pay the bills at UT wouldn't mind hearing some old Caucasians music ever so often ya know? why does race have to be brought into every discussion?..........'thug' music knows no color BTW

The music doesnt bother me it gets me hyped and I'm sure all the recruits love it...but I will say if they are going to continue to play it I wish they would seriously upgrade the sound system in the stadium. That kind of music doesn't sound good at all coming through megaphone speakers.

But at the end of the day its not about who helps pay a very small portion of "the bills" its more about the kids on the field risking their lives and bodies.

That didn't always seem to be the case. In fact, during the 3rd quarter it was really bad as far as him noticing the band was playing and only stopping right before they were finished. Hopefully they get that worked out before game day, because that would be embarrassing if it continues.
