My gator friend just e-mailed me "congratulations on winning the east next year, we just hired Drayton". :p

It would be even better if they hire Willie Martinez, which may actually be possible.

I thought the UF fans said that CUM wanted Drayton to leave back in 08. UF has resorted to retreads.

I mean taking a guy back that you sent packing just 2 years ago.

Maybe UM had a change of heart... Or a heart transplant? My guess is Timmy was the surgeon.

More indicating that CUM basically fired Drayton:

The move is a lateral one for Drayton, and sources close to the Florida program said Drayton made that move because he was told to look for another job for the 2008 season. Drayton said he met with UF coach Urban Meyer on Jan. 2, and the two decided that it was time for a fresh start at that position, but Drayton pointed out that he was not fired.

Could this maybe mean they are going to implement more of a Pro Style Offense? If he was really going to fire him and now is bringing him back, what could this possibly mean?

Wonder if this was a CUM hire or someone else? Just seems like he was glad to get rid of him and now he is back? Could point to CUMs departure.
