The way that they were jumping around on the field while it was being played, it was a disgrace
The soloist at the beginning was great, I'm talking about when the whole band joined in with their storied jackassery.

Perhaps not, but the "outward displays" are a widely recognized sign of gratitude and respect for those who have made a tremendous sacrifice to support and allow those "ideals." - even the ideals that you can be disrespectful if you choose.
