Stanley Cup (merged)

I've never seen a series like this before. Boston has completely dominated in every facet and yet has to play a Game 7 on the road to be able to try to finish the job. To add to it, Boston's had the livelier boards, and yet it's had a bigger impact in Vancouver.

I mentioned to a co-worker earlier that I expected Game 6 to be 6-1 Boston, followed by a 1-0 or 2-1 Game 7 that ends in overtime. No clue who wins that one.

****. It's like the nooks get off the plane at Logan but their skill stays on board.

That sucked.

2011 Stanley Cup finals: Daniel Sedin of Vancouver Canucks guarantees Game 7 win - ESPN

Less than an hour after his team missed a chance to clinch the Stanley Cup in a blowout loss, Daniel Sedin was still confident enough to guarantee his Vancouver Canucks will beat the Boston Bruins in Game 7 on Wednesday night.

"We're going to win Game 7," Sedin told the Vancouver Sun.

"We're 3-3 and we won all three games at home and we have the fourth game at home," he said of the series, according to the report. "So we have the seventh game at home and we'll take that. We are confident."

If Luongo holds it together, I think the Nucks edge out Boston again at home to win the cup.

His total belly flops in Boston puzzle me to no end. Not a huge believer in home ice either way at this juncture, every arena is loud in the finals.

Guess we'll never know what it is that was mind f'ing him in Boston

Hopefully Boston pulls it out. Not really a fan of either team here, but anything to piss off Milo is good in my mind

I've found myself pulling for Vancouver, probably a push back against the Bruin Mania going on here in CT. I'd see 3-4 Bruins sweaters a month here, now everyone has run out to buy one.

That kind of crap drives me nuts.

Don't know how I quoted OhioVol...

Kinduv like Pred sweaters.........................j/k before you mouthbreathers swarm on me like bees to honey.

I'm of the opposite opinion (shocking). There's nothing funnier to me than seeing the Canadian media swarm onto Vancouver starting in the second round as being some type of maple leaf-clad heroes, only to see them all fall away in the Final.

This Canucks team is impossible to actually root for. Their '94 team was lovable, this is not. I'm having a hard time imagining Sergio Momesso or Dave Babych get tapped and start flopping like an Italian soccer player. And the fact that Gillies and Vigneault have been *****ing all series long about everything just really rubs me the wrong way.

I'm obviously extremely biased, which is one reason why I haven't posted about it in here at all but this is one thing that has killed me during this series.

Going into it I thought the B's would be competitive but ultimately lose to a better team and thought I'd be ok with it bc the Canucks played great hockey and were fun to watch with some really good players. Now, after the way they've fallen and flopped like there is a sniper in the building all series, if Boston loses tonight (which, unfortunately, I still think they will) I'm going to be a whole lot more pissed than I thought I'd be. Been surprised when I checked in on this thread how much Vancouver support there was in spite of all those things.

Then again, did I mention I might be a little biased?

Yeah, that was most definitely...unfortunate, to say the least. Don't know if those in the stands had the luxury of seeing the replay over and over from different angles like I did at home but I wasn't a big fan of that reaction, regardless of the way the rest of his team had been playing the rest of the series.

I see where you're coming from, but it obviously wasn't a dive play. People get rowdy and a few morons can incite a wolfpack mentality throughout a building. Unfortunate but that's the state of affairs in sports.

Wasn't a dive by any means but it was rather innocent looking as it happened live, it wasn't until I saw the multiple angles and replays that I thought it could be something bad. To your point though, still doesn't justify the reaction of the crowd. If a guy is down like that he gets the benefit of the doubt.
