I wonder if there are any decent players on that team that might be looking to get out of Starkville as well.

He has his faults, but the attitudes of kids and their circle of family/friends is harder to deal with than it ever has been. Some coaches don't want to deal with it, or need a break from it.

Not saying its all his fault, but everyone knew sydney was a headache waiting to happen. He brings a lot of kids in there knowing they have major baggage, and simply over looks it.

They may be bad next year, could lose a lot.

I would choose to live at the Guantanamo Bay military prison over Starkville MS.

If the admin at Miss St thinks that they can do much better than Stansbury then it's going to be fun to watch that program implode. There aren't exactly a ton of coaches falling over themselves to get to Starknaked.

Per AP wire, Darrin Horn was offered the Miss State job this afternoon and he turned them down.

It absolutely means nothing, but I called this the minute they got knocked out of the NIT. He's been on the radio here in Knox a couple times lately. Sounded less than enthused.

I don't understand Mississippi State. They should have been happy with what Stansbury brought for them. As mentioned not the easiest place to recruit to.

Just time for a change in scenery for Stansbury. Sometimes a coach can be in one place far too long.

Seems like Stansbury managed to recruit there just fine. He just couldn't manage players. State should've made the tourney just about every season for the last 4-5 years. Just underperformed. Interested to see if they go with a young coach or somebody out of a job.

South Carolina may have some competition for Marshall now.

If Marshall goes to USC he's a fool. It's the worst job in the SEC, worse than Auburn. At least Auburn is building some new facilities.

Marshall can probably do better than Miss State after this season as well, but we'll see.
