Stansbury Retires

Seems like Stansbury managed to recruit there just fine. He just couldn't manage players. State should've made the tourney just about every season for the last 4-5 years. Just underperformed. Interested to see if they go with a young coach or somebody out of a job.

Thats my point most coaches couldnt get those players.

If Marshall goes to USC he's a fool. It's the worst job in the SEC, worse than Auburn. At least Auburn is building some new facilities.

Marshall can probably do better than Miss State after this season as well, but we'll see.

He's a great coach. You know USCjr is gonna push hard for him. I agree that he could definitely do better though.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Wichita State may be a better job than USCjr and Auburn at this point.

He brought in a lot of kids in with problems and the most part he got them to stay out of trouble. Sydney was nothing but problems though. Should have left him off the team after their brawl. Team chemistry killed this bunch. Solid coach though

You could see his emotional defeat all over his face during that NIT game.

Not a bad guy IMO. Probably best to part ways at this point instead of down the road.
