I've never watched an entire Star Treck episode or any of the movies, but I want to see this. I'll have to get someone to feel me in on the basics.

The Star Trek franchise has really gone downhill the last ten years or so. I was hoping Paramount might finally let it rest in peace. I hope J.J. Abrams keeps with the spirit of the original series. Otherwise it might as well be Harold and Kumar Go to the Neutral Zone.

I am a Trekky and am pumped for this movie, though I'd be more pumped for another movie with the TNG crew. I miss me some Patrick Stewart.

Starting to get more hyped-up about this movie now that it's less than a week to go before it opens.
I will not say that I think it will be the best movie of the summer season.Maybe it will turn out to be? But I can admit it is with out a doubt the one that I am most looking forward to seeing.I am much more a trek fan having grow up with the original series, comics and subsequent shows and novels.Trek is the reason I love cosmology and it is very much my hobby(Cosmology).Nothing beats seeing something you are interested in being played out on the big screen to the degree that this movie will undoubtedly stretch the imagination.......:yahoo:
