So i guess because my opinion is in the minority, its dumb somehow. Typical VN.
Ok well I thought the acting was bad. I realize that living up to Ford, Fisher and Hammil was going to be tough but I just personally feel there could have been better actors chosen.
Had I never seen the original Star Wars movies, then this movie would probably have been good. I just dont think it measures up. This movie was probably the worst in the franchise IMO.
There are many other problems I had with the movie. From Kylo Ren being a weak azz villian to a female hero who seems to be able to do everything from defeating siths with little training herself to fixing and flying the Millenium Falcon with ease.
These are just my opinions. I realize that most on here love the movie and thats cool. I did not like it and thought it was terrible. I also realize that offering an opinion thats opposite of the norm, means its stupid and just for attention according to VN. Flame away.
Read an interesting theory yesterday, sorry if already posted. What if Han actually ignited Ren's lightsaber? Ren kept saying he didn't know if he had the strength to do what he knew he had to do, and in a last-ditch effort to keep his son from completely embracing he dark, Han gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Not sure I completely buy it, but something to think about.
You can tell that Kylo ignited it.
UK Hits Star Wars Producers With Criminal Charges Over Harrison Ford On-Set Accident
A year and a half after Harrison Ford was hit by a hydraulic door on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the UK government said today they are going after a Disney subsidiary with criminal charges.
HSE has today informed Foodles Production (UK) Ltd that it will be prosecuted over four alleged breaches of health and safety law, said a spokesperson for the Health and Safety Executive. Foodles was the actual UK producer of the Disney blockbuster and therefore on the hook, so to speak, for the June 2014 accident that resulted in Ford breaking his leg among other injuries.
By law, employers must take reasonable steps to protect workers this is as true on a film set as a factory floor, the UK government arm added of the incident at Pinewood Studios. We have investigated thoroughly and believe that we have sufficient evidence to bring the case to court.
Cast and crew safety is always a top priority, said Foodles on Thursday in response to the action. We provided full cooperation during HSEs investigation into the on-set accident that occurred in June 2014 and are disappointed in HSEs decision.
The twist is the UK government moved heaven, Death Star, tax credits and Earth to get the latest Star Wars movies to film in England. With Episode VIII already in production at Pinewood, the Force is not with someone here.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens saw the eagerly anticipated reteaming of original Star Wars stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill, along with Anthony Daniels, the only actor to have been in all seven Star Wars films, and Peter Mayhew. Abrams, along with his longtime producing partner Bryan Burk, are the film's producers. Having established a musical legacy with his iconic scores for the previous six films in the Star Wars saga, acclaimed composer John Williams also returned to score Star Wars: The Force Awakens, ultimately garnering his 50th Oscar nomination for it.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens shattered box office records upon its debut to become the cinematic event of a generation with over $926 million domestic and $2.05 billion worldwide.
