Star Wars

Not that any of you would guess it, but I'm almost as big a Star Wars nerd as Vader. Just more in the closet about it. Hold on, let me prove it.

IG-88 is the biggest badass EVAR.

Nerd. :)

Empire all the way. And yeah Lucas tries to act like he had everything planned out, but there was no way. Also, consider Yoda had seen the droids as well.

Maybe the Jedi are just super-smart and tricky like that.

Jeez, they aren't even real and they STILL mind-tricked you guys into thinking there were plot holes.

Preposterous.

Wow. You aren't kidding. You have read some EU stuff.

Embrace your inner Star Wars nerd. It's liberating.

Honestly... Considering getting a galactic empire emblem tattoo. Not as blatant as your Darth Vader tattoo. Definitely a little more subtle, but still cool-looking.

Wow. You would not believe how close I have come to getting that very tattoo.

If we're bragging about star wars nerdiness, I can beat anyone in Knights of the Old Republic Era trivia. The games, plus the comics, plus the Darth Bane books. Revan is my idol.

I've yet to see the new Star Wars. I can remember watching Star Wars in a movie theater in England.

Is there a third trilogy? As in episodes 7-9 that George Lucas has thought up, but hasn't made any plans to create. I've heard yes and no. Vader, I'm counting on you to settle this once and for all.

so I've never really been a huge movie buff or anything...especially movies with a lot of parts like star wars. But my friend and I watched episode I last night on Spike TV and I'm wondering is Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker the same person?
Whatever rock you have been under, do us a favor and just go back. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you serious right now?????

lucas has said no and i don't see it happening anytime soon if he did change his mind. he's got a a clone wars animated series coming out this fall and plus he's involved with the live-action series which will take up alot of his time.

I'm not asking if it will ever come to fruition, I'm asking if in George Lucas' mind there are three more episodes.

hopefully not. it wouldn't upset me if he never made a follow up trilogy to 4-6. they're fine the way they are. no need to screw it up. if he wanted to branch out and do another set of movies in a different era, i'd be all for it though.

He's said no.... that the Skywalker story is over. But if he lives long enough, it wouldn't surprise me in several years if he did another. He said he would never make anymore after Jedi (well, he did say if he did 3 more it would be Episodes 1-3, but he doubted it woulkd happen back then).

On a side note, Mark Hammil did say a few years back that when they were filming the OT that Lucas told him maybe around the year 2000 he would brink Luke back as a Obi-Wan type figure.

There is a trilogy of books written by Timothy Zahn that take place five years after ROTJ. They would make a pretty cool set of movies. Han and Leia have twins that Luke is training and there are a few new characters introduced.

Thrawn trilogy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I doubt it will ever happen.

I am looking forward to the new series they are doing. I hope it does not suck.

It's supposed to have a grown up Boba Fett.

As far as the Zahn novels, if Lucas did anything he would pick and choose what he liked out of the books and then go from there (if he used anything at all). I think he used one or two characters in the EU for the new trilogy.

I read the first book of that series and wasn't impressed all that much. I just think there's better storylines other than a smurf attacking the republic....

Mara Jade was a pretty cool character though.

the one glaring hole in the timeline is Obi Wan Kenobi's amnesia regarding the droids. It's true he never "owned" R2D2, but R2 was such a vital character in I, II and III that it's hard to reconcile.

In that same scene in EP IV, he also tells Luke that he hasn't been called "Obi Wan" since before Luke was born, yet Obi Wan was there for Luke and Leia's birth.

It's obvious that Obi Wan is a pathalogical liar.

Don't hold your breath on that one...
