In fairness to Bray, we took an 18 year old and along with the media built him into the 2nd coming of Manning based upon his arm strength and amazing stats against no-name teams. I still don't doubt his raw talent as a gunslinger BUT he has a lot of deficits that I don't think he sees and part of the reason is because we've been so awed by his natural talent (and that includes the media even more than we the fanbase) and never bothered to remind him of his deficits or the fact that his receivers would make anyone look good.

His o-line was also rarely pointed out as the huge factor it's been in his stats (mentioned separately yes, but not pointed out as the factor it's been in his success putting up incredible numbers).

In a lot of ways, he's been allowed to skate without having to look at the things he's needed and still needs to improve because his arm talent is such a rare find.

While I dont' think Chaney WILL start Worely, I actually wouldn't mind seeing it. After what I saw last Saturday, I don't think Bray deserves to start.

So now that he's gone, Bray will be his old self.

Bray should have been benched for the Akron game. Might have helped him. The only thing that allowing to continue to be a 5 year old on the field has gotten us is him coming back next year to do the same crap that he has done. Unless we hire a coach that isn't running scared, then he will see Bray for what he is and either fix him or send him on his way. And as for CDD throwing Bray under the bus, after the BS he pulled this summer to even be ALLOWED to be on the team is the ultimate NOT being thrown under the bus.

Bray's a mental midget. He thinks his shiat don't stink! Strong arm, but that's it. Hopefully next year we have a different QB to go along with our new coach.

Warts and aLl, Bray is one of the strengths of the team. Yes he was awful Saturday, but he's been above average for the year on the whole. The defense on the other hand is a never-ending trainwreck, so let's worry about the biggest problems first.
This is not to say that I condone his leadership issues, just that UT does not have the luxury of worrying about a pretty good QB.

Problem is you dont know if its the coach or the QB...guess time will tell but i think its combination of both of them myself.

It would not surprise me at all if Bray, Hunter and CP put on a clinic Saturday. They played for a coaching change and got it, now they are playing for their futures in the NFL.

He still would have to beat Peterman out. That being said, let Bray finish the season. If he leaves, there is no need to give him any added reason to hurt the program. Benching him to prove a point does nothing at this point in the season. If he's hoofing it in the game then jerk him and put in Worley.

At this point in the season would it really matter who started at QB? Historically the worst defense along with other very unflattering stats, hell put whorley in Nd are what kind of man he is at QB. Heard some good things about him. Play him likes he's starting and do some pass routes between him and mostly CP but also the other WR and see what happens in the first half.
