Starting lineup and rotation for next year

Now that the singing class is finalized and we know who has and has not qualified I figured it'd be fun to hear everyones opinion on the starting 5 next year and the rotation. Keep in mind when choosing your rotation coach Martin has stated he plays only 8 guys and sometimes 9 depending on matchups and foul trouble. This is how I see it:

PG: Trae Golden/ Wes Washpun
SG: Jordan McRae/ Josh Richardson
SF: Cameron Tatum/ Josh Richardson
PF: Jeronne Maymon/ Renaldo Woolridge
C: Kenny Hall/ Dwight Miller

It all depends on which shows up we have potentially 2 guys who are no better than what they showed last year or 2 guys ready to blow up. They are both 4* players and have potential so the talent and potential is there, same with just about anybody on our roster it's just a matter on do they make themselves better and do they reach their potential. Let's all hope that they do!

I agree, the two guard is such an important position on the floor though. I wish McRae would've gotten the experience that Golden did last year. We have a ton of inexperience in our two deep at most positions

That could be the worst half-court offensive lineup in the SEC.

I'd say Tatum will be the 2 and McRae at the 3....

Tatum doesn't have the wheels anymore to play the wing imo.

Richardson was a great pickup imo. Can backup both spots.

You do realize the 2 is a wing? Also, if he doesn't have the wheels, why would we want him playing the 2 where he guards a faster player?

From an offensive standpoint Tatum is no longer a slasher making him a 2 imo
If Tatum cannot keep up with their 2 make him guard the 3

I was looking at it from a scoring standpoint only

I understand now. However, Coach Martin runs a motion offense, and in a motion offense it's really irrelevant whether he's classified as a 2 or 3 unlike Coach Pearl's offense where what you did offensively depended on that classification.

I watched him play a few times in HS(good ol Hinesville, GA. Home of the 3rd ID). The kid can play. I'm pretty excited about him.

I'd agree with your assessment offensively, but defensively he better be much better.

I believe Coach Martin values good D over good O from what I've seen and heard. So if Jordan doesn't get better defensively, Skylar plays over him. And I know he gets bashed alot for his sub-par scoring and creativity on offense, but you have to hand it to him he defended his position soundly last year. And he does make good entry passes into the post from the wing, and that means alot to a good big. If Skylar can get more consistent knocking down that 3, he easily gets PT.
