I know this is early but there's alot of downtime between now and August. So lets get it started. What is your projections for the starting lineup this year after the OW game? I'll start with mine, feel free to post corrections.

QB: Worley - Not sure about this one. Both qb's looked equally bad. However, Peterman did hit the nicest throw of the afternoon Saturday. Perfectly thrown fade on the left sideline to Dallas, but he short armed a few. Peterman will get his shot once the season starts.

RB: Neal - I think even if Lane comes back Neal already has a head start with the new staff. Solidifying his starting spot once again.

WR: Pig, Croom, with DY at the slot. Pretty excited to see North, and Harris get some reps too.

OL: No surprises that I know of - JJ, Tiny, Jackson, Fulton, Stone. Hear that Crowder had a good spring.

TE: ? - I was excited to see King out there but looked like he tweaked an ankle.

I don't know if they will crack the starting lineup, but I think Sapp and Vereen will play a lot of snaps on D.

I know this is an offense thread, but after Saturday I was kinda hoping to forget about the offense for a while. It will be a big difference from last year that's for sure.

I'm hoping that Saturday was just an example of the offense being really vanilla and that our injuries (and players not on campus yet) will vastly change our look on offense.

GO VOLS!!!

I believe the QBs had timing issues with the WRs because of injuries and having to throw to receivers they are not familiar with. Worley has shown he can make throws during live games, so he will be fine. Also, Mt. McCullers was really getting a push. I look for him to have a great year.

.

Why would you think DY is ahead of Blanc at this point?

People keep dismissing Blanc but he has made an impression on the coaches. He has very good speed and size. He's improving his route running and hands. He is very coachable and physical and seems to block pretty well.

The recruiting svcs appear to have missed on him pretty badly.

I would not be entirely surprised if Maggitt struggles to dislodge Brewer or Sapp. If I am not mistaken both are faster than he is. Both made good impressions this spring.

Other than that I think Moore/McNeil for the safety spot opposite Randolph. BR seems to be standing above the rest of that group.

Maggitt is pretty fast. Granted that was before his injury

I was thinking the same thing. I see Blanc being a starter, he did really well last year with the little time he had to show out.

Him and Blanc play different positions. I have Blanc beating out Bowles and Young beating out Pig. There are plenty of reps available at wideout.

Not sure why people are splitting Brian Randolph with anyone. The guy will be our best player on D and is significantly better than any other DB on the roster.

Was so pleased to see him out there on Saturday and not just out there, but making a play or two.

no love for jacob carter? He may not start but I believe he'll see significant PT. Especially on third downs cause of his hands.

Maggit is all SEC caliber when healthy. If our LBs stay healthy we are very strong there.

I honestly would like to see McNeil play over B Moore. But I get Byron is a leader and experienced.

At WR I see Blanc, DY, Pig, Croom, and North being big parts. Bowles and Carter may get lost in the shuffle. Also interested to see what Ryan Jenkins brings to the slot position.

Hill and Lane will battle for touches behind Neal, and I like that competition. If we lose one guy I think we are deep at RB.

Corner is an issue. Coleman will start, hopefully Jones can contribute. Hurts having guys like Bonner and Lanier leave for various reasons.

Overall I think we have the potential to be solid everywhere if healthy, except maybe at corner. We may need help from freshman.
