Are we completely out of the running for Jabriel Washington? I really wish we could keep the states #2 prospect.

Nobody in this class will turn out to be a great player!

Jake Overbey (USJ QB) will be....but at baseball at Ole Miss!

Weak class....even for Tennessee standards.

and I think we will keep him.

I hope we keep Cameron Clear in state.. I have watch this young man play on two separate occasions this year and he is without a doubt a physical specimen..

After seeing him play this year and watching him perform in the Nike 7 on 7 this past summer, I believe he could become an outstanding TE!! He may eventually end up at OT, but he will definitely get a look at TE!!

I also think that signing him, along with Tino will help put us back in a good position with Memphis kids in the future..

What makes you think this class is weak? I think it has a lot of talent.

Have YOU seen most of them play????

I have. They will be decent players, but no one will be great! Some will be better than advertised, most will not be as good as they have been graded.

Washington kid plays in the weakest division in Tennessee.....plays against little talent! Richardson kid will not be eligible. How can a great kid go from Maury county to Ensworth....for academics (btw)....and then transfer because of grades?????? He will not qualify his first year. JUCO is his route.

This is the weakest class the state has put out in years!

He is good...but maybe at this position ...maybe at that position...????

GREAT players are already great players at THEIR position. Sorry.....he will dominate at 1AA...but not in the SEC!

I have too over the course of last 3 years....yes this class is not top heavy...but IMO when 60+ kids from the state sign with D-1 schools...then its a very good year instate IMO..

and when you say this is the weakest class in years what is that based on a few players you may have seen.....I could put up some info from research I have that refutes that.....
this is one of the best classes the state has produced in the last 10-15 years........I'd do some more research on it if I were you........regardless of how many kids you have seen....Tennessee kids are really doing well in terms of picking up offers..

and ppl keep bring up who these kids play...their competition...well regardless of who your comp is...that is not an indicator that you will be able to play with the big boys..
many guys who are highly rated and supposedly play against better comp never see the field.....some do...

just like some players who are underrated and play perceived weaker comp rise to the top........

if you can play ...you can play...people always bring in competition but that doesnt always translate to the next level...

and when you say this is the weakest class in years.....what is that based on???? What classes have been alot better???? I could put up some info from RESEARCH that can refute what you say.....

You are saying that since so many have "offers" it is a good class. "offers" mean zero! What are they going to do when they get to campus?

You are correct on 1 point! How they are rated does not mean anything...how will you produce at the next level. That is all that matters. I like that UT is getting more in-state kids....great. But this is a weak class. Sorry! I do not see a stud!

Really....Eric Berry?

Dude could have played 8 different positions and been great! Get a better comparrision

ROD WILKES! there ya go!

Ok... John Henderson? You have not seen many of them play yet spew crap on here and hope it sticks. I think I will take UT, UF, and USC's opinions of Kerbyson over yours. I think I will take all the schools that offered Jabriel, Clear, Richardson, etc... over your opinion but nice try :eek:k:

I am saying so many have offers because they have been evaluated by D-1 talent evaluators and have schollies....I agree maybe not high on the stud level..in terms of national recognition.....but alot of these kids can play.....

again provide evidence that this is a weak class even compared to other classes over the past few years....if your evidence is based on how they perform in college...then you really dont know that yet....they havent gotten there.and anything you say is only speculation...but based on the evidence I provided you....you wanna make it seem as though its not relevant when in reality that is the only thing you can go on at this point....again do some research go check and see how there is an upswing in terms of the number of kids instate being offered by D-1 schools....and Tennessee isnt the only school offering these kids.....but lets use Tennessee as an example...

when was the last time Tennessee offered so many instate kids they offered

Clear
Washington
Richardson
Tino Thomas
Derek King
Devrin Young
Kyler Kerbyson
Mack Crowder
Downs
Dunaway

when was the last time Tennessee offered 10 instate kids in the same year? typically only 3-4 players are only good enough to even get schollie in a given year...with some rare exceptions....so again how is this a weak year instate?

you could say this about anyone though. no high school athlete has done anything until they get to campus. how else are you supposed to judge players right now besides the offers they have received? if a kid has offers from usc, alabama, texas, and oklahoma i would say he's pretty good, but according to you this doesn't mean anything. enlighten us

Disagree. Clear and Crowder will both be great players for the Vols barring injury. I agree with your opinion on AR, I think he will miss making it in.
