i'll avoid being a Steeler homer and say the pats win comfortably. i think our D is a big overrated, and if we don't have ball security or protect the passer, that's not a recipe for beating them.

i think our D, though, can give them some problems, but we don't have a DB that can hang with Moss.

and Welker, again, just like the Colts game, will be the guy that scares me the most. he'll be matched up with LB's at times and that's when it could get ugly for us.

i'll say 31-17 right now.

if there is an advantage for the Steelers, it's Miller and Ward. the eagles proved that over the middle there's some holes in the pats D. if we have Holmes back, we have a deep threat.

but i still dont know that's enough. it wasn't for the eagles it wasn't for the colts. and despite the no. 1 def. ranking, if the pats don't turnover the ball or commit a ton of penalties, they'll get plenty of yards against us.

I'll agree i think the eagles found a hole or 2 in the D But, Does the Steelers really want to get into a TD match vs Brady? I think that was a bad day for Brady myself when he played the Eagles but i will say, I think the Steelers keep it close in the first half and then the Pats take over in the 2nd half. It should be a good game.

no. i would expect them to come out running the ball and running the ball........really trying to play possesion type football.

anyway, it doesn't matter. the only way the Pats lose is if they make enough mistakes that we can take advantage of. which i'm fine with mind you, just think it's not likely.

bottom line, i don't see us just lining up and "beating" the pats.

I'll agree Jake, the running game needs to be strong vs. Pats. If they can run the ball well, it might turn out to be a hell of a game. who knows...

plus, i don't know how the STeelers will react to playing on a surface that isn't the equivalvent of a sponge.

I think the steelers have as good of a shot right now as anyone. The ravens could have done that but that kind of screwed themselves in that one. If the steelers run game is as good as the ravens was. They could have a chance.

I guarantee Anthony Smith has no impact on the outcome of this game. B-TEAMers should remain quiet when adults are talking.

So heres the real deal if Willie can hold onto the ball and we run 75% of the time we win. We also need Troy to be out again this game dont get me wrong i love Troy but the way he plays he 60% making great plays the other 40 he is out of position. The big thing is Holmes has to be back because if he is and the Safeties and LB have to cover Nate and Cedrick and Heath were good in passing downs. I think the loss of Roselvelt Colvin has really hurt the Patsies there LBS are very old and Adalius is playing different position than he has all season. I think we win 31 to 24.

I do like the way Anthony hits people but he should do like Farrior said shut up on and off the field.

I'd be perfectly fine if the Earth opened up and swallowed both teams.

But, Pats win. Of course.
i felt the same way when the pats and cowboys played earlier this year, so i completely understand where you are coming from.

Looks like you may get your wish. I understand your arguement, but he's an all-pro and I would much rather have him on the field as off of it. If for no other reason than to give "the team who's name shall not be spoken" just one more thing to have to account for.
Steelers Polamalu misses practice

as this week's events have unfoiled, i'm getting less and less excited about our prospects of winning this game.
