Were down by 18 with about 14 minutes left.

Went for a 4th down and hit it for a TD. The got another TD about 4 minutes later. Missed the 2 point conversion. But have cut a 18 point lead to 5 in 5 minutes.

Yea the Steelers looked completely out of it. On the verge of wiping away an 18 point deficit in 7 minutes.

Did y'all see that Steeler fan still sitting in his seat after virtually everybody had left the stadium when they signed off? Dude looked like he would strangle anybody within his reach....

wow. it's gotta suck to be a frontrunning Steelers bandwaggoner tonight.

FYP.

(Nothing against the Steelers in particular. But if all their legions of fans actually had a real connection to Pittsburgh, it would have to be the biggest city in the Western Hemisphere.)

sort of like all the New England fans in Tennessee? You don't have to have a "connection" to a team to be a fan and you don't have to be a fan even if you are connected.

having been a steeler fan for all my life, and from Memphis, and now being married to a pittsburgh girl, i can tell you that the reason there are so many steeler fans out there is because the 2nd and 3rd generation steeler fans all moved out of the 'burgh, but took with them their love for the steelers.

hell, i live in Charlotte and i'm telling you half the city is from Western Pa.

as for me, i'm just smart.

as for the game, looking back, i'd just rather had them lose big like i thought they would at half time.

to make it a game and take the lead late just gave me hope and then i just got pissed off.

the steelers are too slow overall on defense, and as much as i like Big Ben, you can't hold on to the ball for 10 minutes and expect to get stuff done. his picks in the 1st half were bad, he made some poor decsions and our play calling at times left little to be diesired.

however, 10 win season, won the divison and went 7-1 at home, swept the browns......not terrible for a rookie head coach.

I thought that Ben tried to do way too much early in that game. He usually makes better decisions.

yeah, i think some of it had to do with the play calling, they kept trying to run Najeh to the outside and that's just not his game, and boom, 2nd and long, and we're back to flinging the ball around on 2nd and 3rd down almost every possesion.

combine that with the apparent 8 minute routes they apparently have everyone running, there just wasn't any help for him, and he made bad decisions.

played well in the 2nd half, but too little too late, and our "steel curtain" never looked more like aluminum foil. our defense is so overrated it's not funny.

I think there are other reasons as well Jake.

I grew up in SC and was a Steelers fan. Everyone I knew was either a Steelers fan or Cowboys fan. There were only 3 TV channels and the Cowboys and Steelers dominated the 70s. So most people got on board with one or the other. Not that way now, 32 teams and almost everyone has a market close to them, add in 24 hour coverage and players switching teams...blah blah..just a whole new world.

I just can't believe, both games against the Steelers, that the Jags let them back in it. When the comeback started everyone here in Jax were holding their breath. It was intense. Whew big win for the Jaguars, what do we have for them Johnny. How bout a trip to NE....Yipee:lolabove:
