You would think he would have a Phd in something by now instead of a bachelors degree in sociology.

A degree for any football player is a good thing even one who keys professors' vehicles in plain sight.

I agree that it seems like he's been there forever

The only former Gamecock QB in recent memory to which this can apply is Chris Smelley.

He's been his own worst enemy, and been in the news quite a bit since his first year at SC. I think that's why it seems like so long, because people have been hearing about him since he was a RS.

Yes, let's make fun of a student-athlete actually taking the student part seriously.

Kudos to Garcia for getting his degree.

Nobody was making fun of him getting a degree it just seems like he's been there forever & just now getting a degree. I don't think he actually took the student part as serious as you make out either it was just a result of being there 4years. He did take drinking, partying, & vandalism pretty serious though. Hope his sociology degree comes in handy.

Oh, get the hell out. I'm not defending him keying the professor's car, but don't lump it in with drinking and partying like it was something he did frequently. And apparently, he took school seriously, because he graduated on time.

Take out the vandalism part, and you've described the undergrad experience for the majority of college students.

Yep, Garcia should be bashed for certain things...getting his degree in four years isn't one of those things.

Most are smart enough to do it without being in trouble all the time for doing something stupid. If it don't work out for him at USCjr he can transfer anywhere without having to sit out a year now. I wasn't bashing him for getting his degree but some sensitive folks wanna make it into something it's not so I'll roll with it.

Go back and re-read your own thread title. You didn't say "LOL Garcia's been at USC forever".

Spin it however you want.

I know what I said Mr sensitive. I said he finally graduates just today because it seems to everybody that he's been there forever. I guess you could also be surprised that he actually graduated but congrats to him for doing so. Maybe he will open a bar up somewhere or a body shop when his college days are finally over. His football days may already be.
