When Dooley took a 3 star it was a true 3 star. These cats can recruit! Look a Von Pearson, they got on him early. If they offer a lower ranked player there is a reason. In Butch I trust until he gives me a reason not to.

Remember CAM SUTTON---3 star out of stater.....coaching staff thought he could play--and HE CAN! :salute::peace2:

Anybody know about his 40 time? I agree with that size if he has speed why on earth is he a 3 star??

Butch took 3 legit safties with this class therefore could afford to maybe take a chance on a kid with potential. Butch already has the no 1 WR in the country. We'll be fine. For some reason these kids like Butch and that goes a long way towards winning.

I'm not knocking the kid when I say with our limited numbers as far as class size goes next cycle, we need sure things and not projects.

Butch has already proven to be a better recruiter than Dooley, that much has been proven. Plus, I like to look at offers more than stars.

For those who care. There is a thread in the recruiting forum with some more info on Griffin. I think you all will like what you find.

Dooley was fighting with Ball St and Arkansas st for 3 stars, while Butch is battling Michigan and the like. Slight difference. Some of y'all give these recruiting sites waaaaay too much credit.

Griffin is a great athlete! This guy will be a solid 4 star by the end of the recruiting services evaluations. They haven't updated a lot of these kids as of yet. We got a steal with this guy.

Was Duke Shelley a CB or Safety because we turned his committment down (for the time being)?

What about offer list gazing? Because he has an offer from all the big schools in his area.

He finished kiffin's class and 2 of the 4 stars didn't get in. Two or three others didn't last much more than a year. Then the next year looked about the same with 4 recruits not making it much more than a year on campus. Plus the classes got worse each year.

Cam Sutton was like a 5.6 3 star on rivals, and he turned out to be a pretty damn good football player as a true freshmen.
