I guarantee Hamilton goes the cheap route. We're gonna end up making a horrible hire. I hate to be pessimistic but it's just gonna happen with these sanctions.

Will the NCAA-sanctioned-question-mark hurt the search? Not to mention whoever comes in will have to follow Pearl and his fanbase.

I want Brad Stevens, Lawrence Frank, Larry Brown, or Shaka Smart (and I'm even hesitant to add Smart's name). Anyone else isn't worth contacting.

Just another reason they should have had some forethought and kept Pearl and fired Hamilton.

Steve Lavin's wife is a cutie actress.. Mary Ann Jarou Lavin . I remember the last time we hired a guy from a big city with a cute wife it worked out well..

Lavin is charismatic, energetic, good with "X"'s & "O"'s, and a solid recruiter but he too, is not w/out baggage. At this time a pass. IMO.

Please go ahead and look at St. Johns recruiting class for this upcoming year, now look at Tennessee's ( you can include the two guys that want to get out of their LOI if youd like. The truth is, This is not a place to come if you are an up and coming coach. Once this blows over( a few years) then maybe, coming to UT right now would be coaching suicide for many coaches.

edit** i'm not saying Lavin is an up and comer, but these people that are throwing around names like Shaka Smart.

Anyone but The Other Fired Coach. Good to see the Bronzer Brigade has stooped to the level of the Alabama fans who blamed their NCAA mess on Fulmer.
