Heh, I see you heard a current SEC HC to Penn State rumor. Only coach I see leaving is Saban. He's never been anywhere longer than five years at this level and there is already a rumor he's looking for a new mountain to climb.

Then the best place for him to do that would be ut:birgits_giggle:

Don't disagree with the people saying they want Saban, but we probably won't have a job opening.

That being said, based on results, if Saban says "Hey Dave, I'd like to coach at UT" I think that's one of the few changes you could make that wouldn't set the program back.

In the long run I don't see it working out. What's he like 27-21 at MState? Come on...

It's Mississippi State. That is not a destination job. He is from PA. There is noise in more than on place that he is interested.

i'm not saying he's a bad coach but Penn State might be looking for a big name. Now getting a big name with everything they have going on will be hard. They might get him but only because of the situation over there...not because he's their top choice.

"Report: Current SEC HC in the mix at Penn State."

Maybe Dooley is needed for a new program restoral. #NLFL

I think Mullen has done an impressive job at MSU. I would like to see him move on because I think he had a lot more to do with Florida's success than what he gets credit for. I have heard that from more than one gator fan. Agree he is not a monster name, but I think his upside potential is huge. Would be interesting to see him going toe to toe with Urban with the two biggest programs in the BiG 10.

It's definitely got to be Mullen. He was born in PA & played at a small college in PA. He has stated that he is committed to MS State and turned down other offers, but this one would be hard to turn down for him IMO.

Just throwing this out there. Bobby Petrino may be who they are talking about. He finished up with his seniors this year and has bounced around in the past.

He would go somewhere in the south. Look at history of the Spurriers career. He is from the south. He loves to golf. If it was to leave USC, it would be retirement. If Ole Miss threw all the money in the world for him, he would go to OLE Miss.

Part of Spurriers deal to go to Carolina was becoming a member at Augusta National. I am guessing Hootie can have that revoked if Spurrier left for another job. I am guessing his only way to stay a member is retire a Gamecock. I would say richt is the right coach at Penn State. A school trying to redo its image and CMR is known for his being a great person. He also has to know if he doesnt WIN this conference championship another couple slightly above average years and he will be asked to leave Georgia anyhow.
