Steven Pearl is the key to the team

When the rest of the world including announcers, analysts, coaches and fans think that S. Pearle is one of the sparkplugs of this team, why do a few on this site seem so bent on denying his importance? Did the coaches son in Little League take your spot? Do you think white boys can't jump? Or are there just some people here who like to voice their contrariness regardless of the facts?

Pearle is important to this team. And he is a great role player. Tough dude. This team is trying and they will get beyond the Sweet Sixteen (unless they have to play Belmont again).

GO VOLS!

I'm not knocking Pearl. He plays hard and fills a role. But to pretend his minutes per game is an indication of success is a little comical.

I agree, he knows his niche and he really does help the team in ways and he knows what he can't do. Can't ask him for anything more, but to say he is the straw that stirs the drink is just crazy talk!

Did anyone notice when Tobias and Scotty fell into each other then out of bounds that Harris just walked off and didn't help Scotty up?? I also have read on here that Harris' parents talk down about Scotty during games. Maybe its nothing but it seemed like there is some tension there! If so, not good!!

He surely isnt the key to the team but he is playing fine. Always makes a few very good defensive and hustle plays along with some nice passes. I like how he swings that ball around the perimeter.

i think the most frustrating thing about pearl was his extremely dumb aggressiveness at the end of the game.

walk-ons are on the court and he's ball hogging. classy.

really hustle's. A Pete Rose type player w/o the hand eye skills. Really he does a good job for filling in night in and night out. Had a solid afternoon against the Ole Black Bears

While Pearl isn't the most gifted player on the team lately he has been contributing more than hurting the team. He hustles, has a lot of heart, a pretty smart ball player most of the time. Coach Tony seems to be playing him the right amount of time.

I know what you're saying. S. Pearl has an attitude problem for sure. Not what you'd expect from the coach's son.

I really disagree -- i only see him working his tail off and using the skills god gave him. He's no superstar by along shot but seems to be playing the right amount of time and is making an impact while in. he knows he gets what ten minutes and plays balls out while in there.

So, you agree with the experts that Pearl should have already been fired. That's good to know.

Now you've made him torn.

We might see some Jew on Jew crime up in here. Will be ugly.

The only thing ugly is your wife. Please keep her hidden under the burka you pathetic antisemite.

The more minutes Pearl plays, the better Tennessee's record is, period!
