Stewart unhappy in a Toyota???

Please God don't bring the Danica circus into Nascar. On the other hand, I would love the pleasure of seeing Tony Stewart laugh at her when she pulls one of her stupid stunts like she did with an IRL driver last year. (Helio maybe)

said the guy whose favorite driver (Harvick in case anybody is keeping score) is known for his post race temper tantrums.

While I do not have anything against her coming to Nascar, I do not think she would be successful. Better drivers than her are struggeling. It would bring a lot more fans to Nascar no doubt. But then it would be very detrimental to the IRL.

Roush himself, in person, admitted to not having ever spoke with her about coming to NASCAR. he did go on to say though that he'd consider setting her up on a program if she was ever interested, which she should never be. she'll remain about 1000x more successful in the IRL.

I'm going to get a lot of dispute to this, but I really think an IRL car is easier to drive than a NASCAR COT. The Indy car is more likely to get you killed. Look at how many drivers with limited experience come to Indy which is a challenging track, and can go fast. You do not see that in NASCAR at say Bristol or Darlington or Indy.

the COT is hard to drive because it's like driving a brick.

the IRL car is hard to drive because you need to make wheel to wheel decisions at 220 mph that affect your life.

it's not so much now the way it used to be, but many more IndyCar drivers have found success in NASCAR than NASCAR driver's in Indycars.

Rick Hendricks response to rumors about Tony driving the #5 car... "As far as my organization goes, we're full -- unless you can get Mr. Helton to allow me to have five years to get rid of one team, like Roush. Can you do that?"

:eek:lol:

Like I said you can get killed in an Indy car easier, and yes not many NASCAR drivers go to Indy anymore, why should they? Less money, more risk.

Because they require larger testicles than the COT doesn't mean that technically they are more diffiult to drive. They brake much better, handle much better and react much quicker to steering input. Montoya has said the COT is more difficult to adjust to than open wheel cars. I would like to see Gordon, Ky. Busch, Edwards, Biffle and J. Johnson try Indy. I think they would do quite well.

If Hornish can't do it, Danica doesn't have a chance

yeah, her 39 top 10s in 50 starts are a joke. she must have been doing something wrong to finish that high all those times.

You're crazy. There's around 23-27 cars in an IRL race, there's 43 cars in Nextel Cup and at least 46-47 attempting to make each race. She's yet to be a top player in the IRL and she WILL NEVER be the least bit successful in Nextel Cup, NEVER

thanks junior. you've said already she won't be successful in NASCAR and nobody disagreed. nor has anybody claimed she's a great driver in the IRL, but she's solid, not some back marker with a joke resume like Sarah Fisher.

and really, as much as he runs his mouth without backing it up on or off the track, Harvick's resume is a joke too.

I know, those 11 wins 50+ top 5's and 100+ top 10's is embarrassing. He's so terrible that he's only made nearly 40 million a year. I guess a consistent top 10-13 points finisher and one of the best marketing people in the sport is a joke. I consider a joke someone who gets arrested after running from the police, cussing a sheriff, and being let out of his contract early. That's just me though.
