Still # 1

Did anybody noticed the coach's poll. Number 1 still, but one coach rated TN 12th, KY-23, Auburn 11, FL 21, AL 12th. Maybe not the same guy but all the SEC teams out of the Top 10. Maybe the same guy may not be.
Those are previous high/low rankings. Vols were preseason 12, Barn 11th..etc

*The highest and lowest ranking each team has held during the designated season. Any team that starts the season unranked and/or falls out of the top 25 during the season will reflect a "NR" (not ranked) designation as its lowest rank.

If you look closely at the coach’s poll, it lists a high/low for every team. That simply indicates the highest point and lowest point each team has landed in the rankings since the start of the season. Tennesse’s low is 12, which was their ranking in the first poll of the season. It does not mean a coach voted them 12th in today’s poll.

I remember reading an article suggesting North Carolina should join the SEC because football money was going to bleed into basketball and eventually have an impact.

We are here. The ACC is trash right now compared to the SEC as a basketball league.

It's almost as noticeable as football.

Thanks did not know that. Appreciate the input.

I want to win but right now I'll be happy if we just don't get blown out at Auburn.

Be prepared for that possibility. Auburn looks like an Nba team. Grown Men. At Auburn? As crazy as Illinois. But Auburn has the studs to do it.

Billichick will have NC in the top 10 in two years. The best ever in the NFL is not going to fail at College ball.

I’m not sure that will be the case, who knows how much he still has left in the tank. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out tho.
Yeah, I'm not convinced that he won't flame out in today's college environment. I don't know what kind of relief he's expecting college football to provide compared to the things he disliked in the NFL... Makes little sense to me, personally. Then again, you can't instantly write off his potential, given his resume.

One of the best ever in college football (Saban) wasn’t successful in the NFL. Success in one league doesn’t guarantee success in the other it appears. Entering one of those leagues for the first time at 72 doesn’t help either. JMO

I get it. However, let's revisit this in 2026. College football isn't much different from professional, MOF it IS professional. Billichick will hire better coaches than most every college program currently has. It's not like he doesn't know the best. It's not like He won't be able to get talent. NC has agreed to spend whatever is necessary.

Jim Harbaugh stepped down to Meeshagan and did okay. Of course he rode a Stalion to the Championship.

Should be right up Belichick’s alley.
