Still a 95% chance to make the Playoffs

The same thing that made most on here think we would destroy everyone on our schedule after the first four games.
Well said my friend. The fans ate the rat poison. Then we lose to someone that most people thought we should not lose to. It happens all the time. Our fans penciled in Arkansas as a win, just like Bama did with Vandy, like ole Miss did with Kentucky, like Missouri did with A&M. It happens. Now let’s see how we respond next Saturday against the Gators at home. I like our chances to win.

Sounds good, but what makes us think we can beat Bama or Georgia if we play like this. We still have to beat Florida, Kentucky, and Vandy too
What if we don't play like this?

If we play like we did last night, we're gonna lose way more than one more game. Possibly four more.

They scored 35 in a loss? Our offense is capped at 20 points, much like the JG offense.
Their defense gave up 40 to Vandy? We can play this game back and forth. It’s tough winning on the road. Our loss was probably the most respectable of all the losses to an unranked team yesterday. People can certainly be disappointed, but people ready to call it quits against losing to a team on the road in prime time who was probably a few turnovers away from being in the Top 10 is an overreaction simply put.

Look. Tennessee had convincing wins against subpar opponents and the Vols became the media darlings for a few weeks.
The team struggled some on the road at Oklahoma, but appeared to be correctable.

The Arkansas game showed us that the Vols are simply overrated and not a top 10 team. A lot of work left to do with Florida and Bama in back to back weeks, which I don’t expect to be corrected immediately.

Based upon what we saw yesterday, the Vols are not going to win out and a playoff appearance is a long shot.

Is there a betting site that says 95% chance so I can bet the farm we don't?????

Nope. Heck the UF and AL games are making me sick now. We could be looking at least a 3 game skid

“Still a 95% chance to make the taxslayer bowl”

A basket of fresh Mayport shrimp sounds pretty tasty about now, to be honest.

I wouldn't mind the Bahamas Bowl given the location, but sadly the SEC doesn't have a tie-in.

I would say 50-50 chance we make the playoffs. We have to go 10-2 and right now No one can honestly say we have a better chance to do that than we don’t.

According to ESPN's Allstate Playoff Predictor, even with the loss to Arkansas we have a 95% chance to make the playoffs as long as we beat either Alabama or Georgia. This is without making the SEC Championship game. Now, if we lose to both of those our chances drop to 13%. We simply can't afford more than one more loss. More margin for error is the beauty of a 12-team CFP.

I'm still on board with Heupel. We all have to realize there will likely never be another Nick Saban (7 national titles in 27 seasons as a college head coach) in our lifetime, so using him as a barometer for any program is unfair - the success he had was unprecedented. Even Bear Bryant (6 titles in 25 seasons) and Woody Hayes (5 titles in 28 seasons) didn't win at that clip. Urban Meyer was close (3 national titles in a 9 year span), but he's also done with coaching. I want to win every game, every season, too, but the fact is that's not reality. And before you say, "it's not that we lost, it's the WAY we lost," then join the club. Teams get upset every year and we aren't immune. This was not the first "trap game" in program history and it won't be our last.

We will bounce back next week vs. Florida and a win on the 3rd Saturday in October will put us right back where we need to be. GBO
Might as well say 50% chance .

The way I see it, Billy and UF are about as talented as Pittman and Arky...... and we got outschemed by Pittman. Billy might outcoach Josh too.

Alabama and GA? Highly talented players and one highly talented coach and one wild card.

An inept coaching scheme loss against Florida, like we saw last night against Arkansas, and the shine will really be off Josh Heupel.

They had not updated that when you looked at it. Current chance is 43%

We are not a playoff team. Nowhere near it. We aren't beating Bama or UGA.

After that, UF, UK, and Vandy could all be losses.

UTEP and Miss St. Should be wins.

I honestly have no idea how to predict what our final record will be, but 7-8 wins is looking likely at this point which will be a complete failure.
