3 Things

1. For all the conspiracy theorist on the board, I guess the NCAA sent a letter to rescind the punishment since that is what you said made this team go into a funk between the Pitt and Oakland game.

2. For all the Pearl bashers questioning his coaching, cue the chirping sounds. His getting tossed Friday fired this team up, and you could tell that after he got tossed and now tonight. He and his coaching staff had a great plan tonight.

3. This game tells us what many people knew and that is if we are hitting shots, we can beat any team in the country because our defense is fueled from our offense. It also shows us that as we continue to grow as a team, we will continue to get better and are still one of the most talented teams there is.

Go Vols!

Slow it down and our chances of winning seem to go down as well.

my wife went to C of Charleston. I will never forgive this team for losing to them. Even if we win the NC...so no, not jumping on the band wagon.

Win 6 of our next 9 after tonight or better and then we can talk about how what this team is capable of.

Chris Crawford's excuse for choosing Memphis over UT was that he didn't like the way they 'acted' over there (Knoxville).

I wonder how he likes our acting now. He could have had Hamlet, but he chose Days of Our Lives.

No no else cares about your petty marriage rivalry. If ww win a nc I don't care if we are under .500 in the regular season.

Sweet fantasy post.

Quick question about said fantasy: what good is stingy D if it only works when our non-shooting outfit shoots well? Seems a problem, no?

Fantasy? It's fantasy that this team is inconsistent? If you can't tell Scotty and a couple of others are more motivated on D when their shot is falling, I guess it really shows who lives in fantasy land.

And Memphis is obscenely overrated. I wouldn't be shocked if they fail to win C-USA.

Couldn't wait for Queefin to bring up this point. Memphis is so overrated that the ranked teams they faced were up 35 when starters began to be pulled.

I'll be shocked if they do. They better go undefeated at home. That AAU act won't travel well.

They probably still win CUSA. But even if they don't, Hat you have to admit a 35 point game before it began to be trying to get the best dunk will not happen to Memphis in a very long time.

It may not get to 35, but if they take that silliness into Orlando, Hattiesburg, and El Paso, they'll get killed. It'd probably get them beaten soundly in Huntington and Tulsa, too.

Agreed. However, I think we gotta give our D a lot of credit for smothering them and getting in their head early. Also, we did something we couldn't do when they made a run at us and that is hit a big 3. Cameron Tatum has still got to get his stroke back from 3 pt. range, he is still missing wide open looks. It's one thing to miss contested, but outside of tonight we have missed a ton of open looks the last 6 games and most of them have been bricks.
