I'm not. I never really was at Cincy either. If the play calling at KY is still "vanilla" or whatever than Butch needs to change something. We are not going bowling, so throw in the heavy stuff.

So Worley sucks and playcalling gets blamed. Worley plays a solid 1.5 games and bam the playbook is opened up and points are scored. Dobbs comes in, can't complete a pass and we're still blaming the OC when they were still able tro run the ball??? Did we learn nothin?

If he is half as bad as we think and butch keeps him, then it's on butch.
A bad decision maker is a bad decision maker and isn't worthy of holding the reins of ut football program.

I personally like what jones appears to be trying to do, but he better surround himself with people most likely to attain those goals.

Otherwise he will be Dooley 2.0

I've figured out that his game prep is trash and his ability to make adjustments in game that work are equally as bad.

i hear what you are saying. after tonight to me i know butch is not the answer, it will just be some time and losses and the fans not showing up and a switch will be made. i just hope that hart is not in charge.

I was never sold on the OC even when they were running this at Cincy. it never looked like the spread that you seen ran by the likes of Oregon , Auburn West Va and so on. But the hire I hated more was Jancek and then Martinez. After listening to these Dawg fans down here dog these 2 for 3 years and could not wait until they were fired and lucky us they end up at Tn.

Yep. If he HONESTLY thinks this is the best staff in the country, he better think again. He should target those on other teams who have been getting it done against bigger competition. Baylor's OC and Stanford's DC. Make the offer too difficult to turn down.

Here's the thing for me. If you know Dobbs can't throw the ball more than 20-30 yards with accuracy (which I highly doubt) then why don't you call 5 yard slants and quick hitters and when the D rolls up, fake the quick slant and throw behind it and call a wheel route out of the back field down the center of the field. All it would take is learning 10 pass plays for the offense. And don't say they're not in the play book because I've seen them 3 weeks running. Why not call them?

Wait. Now Butch is not the answer? I'm just thankful your not in charge. Yes, a disappointing loss and first seasnon. But you can bet another quick coaching change will cement our place at the bottom for a long time. Changing coaches more often than you change shirts is not a good idea.

I do know, Dobbs picked up lots of yards Worley would not have. I don't understand why we where not airing the ball out. Vandy's secondary isnt anything compared to what we have faced this season. Dobbs did well, Worley did better by being on the sidelines.

I've been majorly disappointed with our offense this season, but I'm still willing to give our offensive staff some time to get some of their guys in before I make up my mind on them and their system.

However it is clear at this point that they're not the type of coaches whose coaching and scheming can overcome personnel issues. Currently our offense consists of inexperienced QBs and WRs, one tight end with no backups, an overrated offensive line that doesn't fit our system, and middle of the pack running backs.

I'll make up my mind about Bajakian after we see what he does with all the shiny new toys he gets next year.

Butch came with his entire staff as a pre-condition to taking the job. As our 3rd or 4th pick, we accepted. It now is a year later and frankly neither coordinator (offense or defense) is SEC material in my opinion. Jones should stay but the school should demand both coordinator's be replaced. Hell; UF may hand us a defensive coordinator soon......

Everybody wants to call Jim Chaney so great when he sucked his first year. We didn't execute, that's the problem we had. We're young and inexperienced, what did you honestly expect?

I hear what you are saying, but dude the play calls don't make sense sometimes. This is the SEC. You have to be able to complete 3rd and 3. Running out of a shotgun is a disadvantage on short, third down plays IMO. It's especially a disadvantage to run shotgun in short yardage run plays when you have no threat of passing. Manziel and A&M run this same crap and amazingly they are 1-3 against Bama and LSU doing it. This crap doesn't work consistently in the SEC. I've said it the last five weeks and got flamed, but the SEC is made for power football and smart QB play. There's nothing wrong with running shotgun and spread formations, Bama, LSU, etc do it, but Bama, etc, also know in third and 2 situations they are going to go to two TE sets and a FB and they are going to make you stop them. When you can run off the center in a traditional I-Form or Strong set, it opens up the play action, and when you have play action it becomes hard to defend an offense.
