I understand what your saying, but the difference is one is getting money to stimulate growth, the other is getting money to stay in business. If you are getting money to stay in business, forgo the bonus for year. I fail to see how that doesn't make sense.
That is a good point, especially the bolded part. It is just easier to swallow for me if somebody's windmill design is crap as opposed to a bonus that is used to buy somebody's second penthouse.
you do realize that that windmill has very little, if any, real economic impact, while the sale of a very expensive penthouse apartment provides real, private sector jobs?
Well, that is the case now, but maybe not in the future. That was just an example to get my point across. One day providing windmills instead of oil drills could provide real, private sector jobs as well. Why stay stuck in the old ways of doing things?
