stock market was up today...

Got my monday morning update text. Somehow earned a little over $500 last week. From 86.4k to 86.9k. Should actually be almost 100k but i lost about a grand a week on average up until april 22nd.

Biden is responsible for damn near every cent of what i lost. The nearly 100 XOs he signed in his first 48 hours as president doomed us to $5 a gallon gas and runaway inflation. Him passing out $Billions$ every week like he is Santa Claus all but guarantees a terrible economy and endlessly drives down the purchasing power of every hard fought dollar we have ever had the self control to save. I hope he gets incurable jock itch and his hands fall off simultaneously.

Been a brutal year so far.

Are the rate hikes the primary culprit here?

I’d saying grinding a world economy to a halt, printing money to subsidize said halt, and energy policies dreamed up by a 10 year old after he just received his first public school science lesson, are the culprits.

I think you are going to be very, very, very surprised when Putin is leashed. What is happening is because of a lot of our own actions but, own RESPONSIBLE ADULT actions. This is what happens when you put a trump in office. It takes a long time to heal. We are a year and a half into Biden and he is doing what needs to be done. I am not saying he is a saint, I'm saying this was needed, and trump ran from it like a coward. We are about to explode. The dollar is more power than gold rn.

Yeah but the way I understand it is inflation is driving the need for higher rates which is what the market is reacting to. The out of control spending was happening before Biden, I think we can all agree on that.

I’m not an economist so I may be off base, but that is my novice view. We are seeing the effects of increasing rates that probably should have happened sooner.

I don’t think you are wrong. But they’re starting to see poorer than expected earnings also, which was initiated by the items I was rambling about.

yeah, there is a divide and I can explain it simply, but few will do what is needed to stop it.

one says i see my hand.

the other sees beyond her hand.

no one is looking how the two interact.

I think sky rocketing energy costs are largely driving it. Energy costs touch every part of the economy and they are climbing daily.

One of the business shows was talking about Target today. Their stock got brutalized today. They actually met sales goals but rising costs are up net earnings and their stock got sodomized because of it.

Profits are down in many industries. Can't raise prices fast enough to keep up with costs.
