Stokes can't play yet

I heard 5-7 minutes tomorrow, and upwards of around 10 the next game (saturday?).

He is not playing this week, eligible or not. He is not in game shape yet and Martin doesn't want to rush him. Assuming he is cleared this week, look for him to possibly play next week in a limited capacity. He will be eased in. Don't look for him to play 30 minutes his first night out.

Patience boys.
He's 15 lbs over weight.
Probably best if he works out a couple of weeks anyway.
Would be disastrous if he pulled a Hunter because he was out of shape.

didnt know he was 15 lbs overweight. So much for that hard work ethic the whole time he was off.

Btw, who said he was overweight

I heard he's so overweight that he's a potential candidate on "The Biggest Loser."

Ccm has said that there was a hang up due to the sec offices being closed for the bcs game. Ccm says stokes will be cleared before the beginning of the game tomorrow not but that he doesn't expect him to play. Doesn't sound quite as definitive before about him not playing so maybe well get a glimpse tomorrow night. Here's to hoping!

I failed to see overweight, out of shape, etc..

The guy has been out of competitive basketball since the summer. He's probably not as conditioned as CCM wants. Stokes needs some time to work out with the team before he's thrown to the likes of Moultrie, Sidney (speaking of out of shape), Davis and Jones.

I feel like State is the perfect time to bring him in to marginal playing time... why make him guard the likes of Anthony Davis in his first game? He can run with the big boys from state

Conditioned.
Exactly the word Martin used.
Said he would play when he, his staff and Stokes decided he was properly conditioned.
Good enough for me.

i think best thing for JARNELL would be for him to sit out the next 2 games and then come out against georgia ready to play decent minutes(15-20). as a fan i would love to see him tonight and then see him come out against uk and have a great game, but thats not fair to ask of him and it wouldnt be in his best interest to throw him out there this quickly. i completely agree with the way that ccm is handling this situation, it is the right way to do this.
