Someone posted earlier that they heard this on Rivals radio. Has anyone seen anything in print on this?

This will really suck if we lose all of our recruits. The problem is we haven't been as wide open on offense as they promised. I hate to say it but Bama has more talent on the edge than us. This is terrible.

Say what you will about the fans being the problem. Even if the fans were content this football team would have problems retaining recruits. Why? The national media would still be on Fulmer like white on rice.

At what point do we say "We need an ace recruiter to corral these commits for next year?"

A new coach might be a liability, but...it might decrease speculation and increase buzz and interest as well. Someone like Butch Davis could renew some interest.

This is when we really need a strong AD to make promises about the school's committment to the program.

Dear God, please No!

I checked the Penn State boards and no mention that he was even in attendance. I would not doubt it unfortunately. Nunes, Stokes, and Giles were the rocks of the class as far as recruiting for UT. I hope we can keep Stokes and Giles.

Phil is a pretty good national recruiter, I dont think some of you guys on here realize what would happen with a new HC unless he was big name...I think the recruiting would decline for the first few years under a new HC

We have to start somewhere.....the recruiting with Phil seems to be taking a dive.

Would you want to come and play for Phil after seeing us this year?

Lex if we lose to georgia and bama. They need to drop the axe right then for damage control.

Evidently Bama has more talent everywhere.

What good is getting these recruits if you do nothing with them?

Whatever, it is what it is. Id gladly lose every darn recruit and take 20 Two Star Guys if it meant getting Fulmer out of here. Nothing personal against him, he just will NEVER EVER get it back to how we were in the 1990s, I have 100% confidence that he cannot do this...but there are some out there that could.

Yeah, I'd much rather loose some recruits, and bring in a coach that can do something with talent..
I mean look at Wake Forest.. look at how little talent they got compared to us..
and they've been doing good.. except for last week haha

but yeah,we need a Bruce Pearl type coach for football :)

Per Hubbs on volquest he said he talked to Stokes mom and she said he was all Vol. She wanted to put the rumor to rest

If that happens it will virtually guarantee that the next guy will fail... fail badly... and leave the program in a state that may take years to recover from.

Keep Fulmer... Get rid of Fulmer... If you don't get great talent, you don't compete in the SEC.

Make a great hire, and you don't have to worry about losing most of your recruits. Butch Davis would keep them all in line :crossfingers:
