What did I say? I was bragging about Stokes but said Barkley was on another level athletically....Stokes is one of my favorites players.....remminds me more of like an Oakley....strong and powerful.

Come on, you know I'm not trying to equate Stokes to Barkley. I'm just goofing off like I always do. I wasn't expecting you to take my last comment on Stokes seriously. Can't help that I'm a huge UT homer.

Although this picture really has nothing to do with anything, I will always support its use in any post or any forum regarding any subject.

Big Bear = Jarnell
Doin Thangs = scoring points

And now he's in da club! The 1000 point club. Haha well that was my reasoning

1007 points in less than 3 years. The Tulip has blossomed.

Still amazes me after all these years that Pete Maravich did this every year for three consecutive years. And without a 3-pt shot.

But congrats to Stokes. He's really been fun to watch this year.

Before the season media pretty much said it was 100% he's gone. Lately they've been more open to the possibility he returns.

Now I don't think he returns, but just thought it's interesting how the tune has changed a bit. Maybe he gets told, you're a late second round pick because of the strength of this class, next year you're a 1st rounder.

Maybe he wants to get his degree, who knows.

He should stay to not only get his degree, but because this class is stacked. Barring a very disappointing season, it can only help him, in more ways than one.

Off topic, but how impressive has his footwork been this year? He has drastically improved in that area which has boosted his post game.

His footwork, patience, left hand, jump shot....all vastly improved.

Just think how much better he will be next year. If he improves as much next year as he did this year, he will be a lottery pick. He can be another Charles Barkley by the end of next season.

He should come back. I would. He wont be a lotto pick this year, he would be next year. No brainer. Injury schminjury. When you're 6-8 260 you don't get injured, you do the injuring.

There is about a .001% of Stokes EVER being a lottery pick, this year or next. He is just too limited physically as a below the rim player in an above the rim game in the NBA. He doesn't present a lot of upside either. In today's NBA, if you aren't uber-athletic, otherworldly tall, or come with a mountain of untapped potential, then you aren't going in the lottery.

Stokes is easily my favorite player and I'm proud of how much he has improved this year. He has had the most criticism out of any of our players. Stokes will find him a spot in the NBA. As long as you are great at least at one thing, you have a spot to be a role player. Don't really know why people are wanting to compare him to a top 25 player all time and a HOFer...but oh well. Would be awesome if he did return for a year. He'd have his degree to fall back on and he'd still be entering the NBA at a young age of 21.
