Stokes Makes His Case

So is this what we should have been seeing from him all along, or what we are hoping to see from him the rest of the season? Or was this one game enough, and now he can just coast on in?

Sheesh

he'll play face up at the next level. Needs to keep hitting a midrange and will have difficulty guarding some 4's, but will be more difficult to stop with some, you guessed it, more space. He won't be double teamed.

NBA is a specialist league.

Stokes rebounds like a mad dog.

He'll have a career.

Its a stone cold lock that he will come out flat or disappear after getting in foul trouble again this year. However, his midrange game is improving his draft stock this year tho. IMO major improvement...

Then prepared to be let down, I can guarantee that Stokes will have at least one more off game.

i just want to see the same effort put forth by him, i can live with an off game. Im just afraid he starts coasting the rest of the year until he gets to the NBA.

Effort is all I would ask for nightly. Talent is there. If he does no doubt $$$$ in his future soon.

The only NBA league that Stokes will be playing in is the D League.

No way. If Chuck Hayes, Reggie Evans, Dejuan Blair, etc lasted this long in the NBA Stokes has a shot. He is going to get better with better coaching.

He is undersized for his position and can't hardly hit a shot from outside 5 feet from the basket. IMO Stokes will never make a regular season NBA roster - Europe more likely spot for him - but he can make some money there.

A lot of 4's can't hit a shot outside 5 feet. NBA drafts on potential first and he has it. With some great coaching he'd improve a lot. He is the number 1-2 player on the team so he gets guarded a lot harder than he will in the NBA because he'd be a role player. At 6-7 260 Dejuan Blair averages 8 points 6 rebounds a game I could see him averaging that and being a nice role player. More than likely he'll bounce around from team to team his whole career though.

Also I know a lot of nba teams would like a big that shoots 70% from the line that is also a rebounding machine.

Interesting article in today's KNS about Stokes and UT running and gunning in the Kentucky game and I bet CCM will listen to his players and have controlled chaos for the rest of the season offensively instead of trying to play a half court game.

If Stokes leaves, what do we return?
About 25% of our offense?
