Stokes Makes His Case

That's less than returned from Pearl's team.
Hope Stokes stays. don't think he will though. Especially if he shines again against FLA.

Personally, I don't think it matters how he plays. I think his mind is made up. He nearly went last year when everyone told him he wouldn't be drafted. He wanted to risk it and thought he could impress enough in workouts to get drafted. In his mind, he's already been here longer than he ever expected. JMO.

I'd have to look it up. Could have been less. memory not that good anymore.

Just did the numbers quick, Martin's 1st year returned around 25% of offense from Pearls final squad. So right about the same, maybe a little more, obviously percentage could change between now and the end of the season.

Exactly how I feel. He made a huge deal out of it last year and if someone tells him he can go even late second round I think he's gone.

And if Stokes's play was like that every game we wouldn't be having any discussions about bad losses in college. I totally agree that he has NBA talent, I totally disagree with the fact he show's it all the time. I don't want to hear after 5 or 6 point outings about how some 'injury' kept him down. He is a guy that's seriously depended on this year as far as how far they can go. NBA teams wont want to hear that either. They'll have guys from college and the Balkans that will play better.

he'll play face up at the next level. Needs to keep hitting a midrange and will have difficulty guarding some 4's, but will be more difficult to stop with some, you guessed it, more space. He won't be double teamed.

He'll get schooled badly at the next level.

Maybe we should have traded him for tarik black. That would have been equivalent to what we did at PG.

No way. If Chuck Hayes, Reggie Evans, Dejuan Blair, etc lasted this long in the NBA Stokes has a shot. He is going to get better with better coaching.

I wont disagree with that totally, but I see absolutely no fire there on a game by game. Those other guys you mention, I've never heard of.....same same here or will be. We'll remember him but that's about it.

He's just a guy. 5 star, no star, peg leg, one-eyed...who cares? This aint a first rounder. I wouldn't pick him there. The Milwaukee Bucks might, but that might be why they've only won 7 games this year.
