2005-06 was the last time an SEC team did not make the BCS National Title Game. A two-loss UGA team lost to WVU in the Sugar Bowl (making that three losses on the year). In 05-06, undefeated Texas squared off against undefeated USC in the title game. Which SEC team do you think should have made it? LSU, even though they lost in the SEC Championship Game?

The 2009 FL team was better than TX. And at least two maybe three other SEC teams were better than Notre Dame last year. There are a lot of times that two best teams are from the SEC, but only one got a title shot.

Agreed. Georgia, Texas A&M, and potentially even LSU would all have had a fun time toying around with Notre Lame. And those are just the guaranteed ones.

Of course, maybe something probably still should be said for each of those teams has only appeared in that title game once. While the other, 4 times.

That is true, but those teams (and others) have had other, really good years, either deserving of, or just missing out on, a BCS NC game appearance:

Aub 2004
UT 2001
Fla 2001, 2009
UGA 2002, 2007
LSU 2001, 2006
USCe 2011
Arky 2011

My point is that, he's blowing smoke. Sure, the SEC teams that have won the BCS aren't great every year; but multiple SEC teams have been great more than once. How many BIG(whatever) teams have been truly great more than once in the BCS era? Texas and Okie? Anyone else?

Muschamp heard the quote Wednesday and told the media (h/t Palm Beach Post), “I’d be saying the same thing if I were in the Big 12. I said it for three years.”
Muschamp can string words together now! Who could've guessed?

That team was 9-3 after the upset in the SECCG. Hardly worthy of a BCS title game appearance.
