I am not complaining about our "seeding" I am complaining that the committee is loaded with B1G people and they are stacking the deck against the SEC.

DAMN, Guys - You would think that we were “Sons of Saban” - or something…..

We are 10-2 & in the College Football Playoff- without having to play in the SEC Championship Game!

(Btw: I hope the Conference Championship Teams beat the HELL out of each other…)

It’s not like we are sitting at home debating on who should be in the Citrus Bowl / Outback Bowl / Gator Bowl / or Peach Bowl! (None of them seem to matter now, anyway….)

We have it better than 122 other NCAA Division 1 football teams in the nation!

Maybe even better than a couple teams ranked ahead of us - since they have to play each other….

I don’t care if we are seeded #12!

We have an “opportunity” HERE & NOW!

CJH knows it! The Team knows it!

Let’s just put the BVS away, please — & Rip into the playoffs with FULL SUPPORT!!!

Coach said "..we don't care who we play anybody anytime anywhere just put the ball on the ground..." Gave me a boost hearing him say that, I'm sure he instills that in the team, we will go far hopefully winning it all.

The Orange Colored Glasses are strong in this one. The defending Nat Champ is from a vastly inferior league.
My betting record with UT VS PSU since the first couple of wins is not good.
I will say our curb stomping of Mich in the Citrus Bowl back in the day is one of the highlights of a lifetime of following UT.

"Orange Colored Glasses" have absolutely nothing to do with my point. This is not about UT, it is about one conference being vastly superior to the other, yet made to be its equal by the SEC commissioner selling us out.

The Big 10 has six teams you can even call decent out of 18. It's highly unlikely that Penn State or Indiana would be 11-1 playing an SEC schedule, my guess is that each would be at best a 3-4 loss team, and you can be pretty sure that Oregon wouldn't be unbeaten.

The SEC has 9 out of 16 teams with 8 or more wins, the Big 10 has 6 out of 18. The "defending national champions" have become the picture of mediocrity. I'm not sure what the Citrus Bowl has to do with this.

I see more posts telling people not to complain than I see people complaning about the thing they are telling people not to complain about. I see more "y'all still wanna fire people?" posts than I see posts about actually firing people. It's a message board. If people want to complain, they will complain, I just don't see much complainimg about UT's current situation
. I see a ton of fans pumped for the playoff.

I haven’t really seen a lot of Vol fans “complaining”.
I have seen many of us looking for the best possible playoff scenarios that would benefit us.
Obviously, playing at Neyland (no matter the opponent) would be best.
Barring that, it appears that we probably go on the road at either TOSU or PSU. Tough places to win but not impossible.

Just remember the big 10 and Notre Dame will always be overrated and given preference over the SEC. So, we are happy to take them on wherever and whip their butts. Put a chip on our shoulders and get it on.

Maybe because you saw nothing but bad for the first decade and a half of being a fan - kudos to you for sticking it out. I became a fan while at UT in the early '80's, so I've seen the very good as well as some bad.

I just never got the immediate focus by so many on the negative at the slightest hint of trouble. I mean, seeing Pruitt or Jones references on here now, given where Heupel has taken the program and with a strong administration in place is to me completely absurd. Those days are gone and as far as I'm concerned forgotten.
VFL , I knew we’d turn it around. Way too much passion from the fan base to stay down.

My only complaint is that Alabama's losses haven't eliminated them. If we had lost the Vandy game, basically matching their record, but with a win over them, we'd be out.

The problems with this system go way beyond Alabama, much as people here want to focus on that. These Big 10 teams playing creampuff conference schedules and being treated as equals with SEC schools is the main issue. It didn't bite us in the ass this year like it did USCe and Ole Miss, but if this stupid system stays the same, that might be us next year.

Alabama, Georgia, and Texas are the only SEC schools that "matter" to the powers that be, along with Ohio State, Penn State, and Notre Dame, all coincidentally locked into the playoff. Forget the Alabama hate and focus on the real issue with this thing.

Some people just love to complain
The lady vols basketball team is much improved. The softball team is solid. Lots of other success in the athletic department too. I said it is a "GREAT time TO BE A TN VOL!!!".
